Is there a site with blueprints stuff because, just like with WIRE in GMod, I can't be fucked learning this redstone bullshit.
It's rewarding when you learn it. It's more about learning, experimenting and building the stuff than having it IMO.
i need potty : c
Good job, that's as useful as saying " i need potty : c"
Wasn't actually to you.

What is the purpose of that for the overall contraption? If it's using how current passes through cobble and not glass, the pistons still run on a timer so it seems redundant. Why not just a piston timer thing (to ensure it works after reloading the save with no manual restart). though I'm guessing that video isnt yours anyway

not mine, and I think the purpose is solely to be absurd so why not make a complex timer system

Putting a current through it would "read" the blocks, so you could have a pattern like "1000101010" to repeat over and over again.
2:30, I was hoping to figure this kind of thing out sooner than later, love this guy's solution.
As a redstone philistine I'd just like to say that that is a fucking brilliant solution.
Crap. I was making a piston screen using 3x3 pixels but now I found out a way to make them 2x2. Anyone know how to make some read only memory (not a scroller rom) I using this: But it's very space inefficient and I want something better.
Why not a scroller ROM? (I assume when you say scroller ROM you mean one of those large cycles like on my 4x4 redstone torch display)
I don't understand all this recessed lighting stuff, surely that means aggressive mobs can spawn INSIDE your house? Which defeats the object of having a house by turning it into a deathtrap. Unless of course you're playing on peaceful, and who does that?
Why not a scroller ROM? (I assume when you say scroller ROM you mean one of those large cycles like on my 4x4 redstone torch display)
Yeah, I meant that, I don't want a scroller rom because it is slow, and I already found a suitable replacement that uses levers for easy writing.
Here is a fairly basic Automatic Piston Farm I Made the other day, Sorry but i wont make a full tutorial as it is loosely based on one by Tyken132. To the blind eye its looks vaguely like a regular farm, but oh no ! its (almost) fully automatic! You have to replant by hand its drops 67 Wheat and around 100 seeds. you can expand it as far as you like. Please leave a reply if you like it or have a better design. enjoy and be creative! xxx Sorry for the bitmaps lagging !
wow I've forgotten how ugly minecraft looked without smooth lighting
wow I've forgotten how ugly minecraft looked without smooth lighting
Shit! i forgot i didn't have Smooth lighting on :) Cheers !!!
Yeah, I meant that, I don't want a scroller rom because it is slow, and I already found a suitable replacement that uses levers for easy writing.
There are ways to make it faster, like using a 2 piston clock 2:25 here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja3HK3UVs5g It changes the block more than twice a second. What is your new replacement?
2:30, I was hoping to figure this kind of thing out sooner than later, love this guy's solution. -snip-
I have a similar solution - however I use the properties of redstone not passing through glass or half blocks in order to simplify the mechanism. Excuse the crudity of my design - I haven't got round to saving space yet or reducing it. I am quite new to redstone. Lights on Lights off Lights in both configurations on the roof As you can see, I use redstone to pass current through glowstone blocks. It does not get passed through the half stone blocks. Redstone passes through to the wire (either left or right) only if it can (e.g. there is a glowstone block there). Grid powering the pistons - done with a not gate fed from the button. When the button is pressed it disables the sticky pistons and then enables them again Not pictured is a pulse limiter which feeds the redstone which goes through the glowstone. For some reason it powers it for too long, meaning it will also trigger the piston on the other side when the glowstone block gets pushed into position. Apologies there is no video, but I reckoned my laptop couldn't handle it. It occurs to me now that it doesn't have to be a half block blocking it - I could actually have it be no block like in the above persons video if I do it near the pistons where I know there will either be a block there or no block there. Edit: Yep! His way was better :v: (well, works just as well) and means you can have a even texture underneath rather than the bottom of the slabs. Just use the same way I did it, but instead have the repeaters two blocks away from the piston.

I don't even see how that holds a stream of data and
the torch on the top won't be open unless the switch on the bottom is flicked, useful for animating between frames.
I don't see how that is useful for animating between frames. Did you read about this somewhere or see a video on it or did you come up with it yourself?
Don't use .bmp Use .jpg or .png png is lossless so there is literally no reason to use bmp instead of it.
Use .png and then run it through BIMP Lite. You end up with a lossless image that also has an itty bitty file size. :v: (You have to make sure the "Anti-Alias" box is checked. It doesn't actually anti-alias the image at all, though; it only reduces file size. Go figure.)
MOTHER FUCKER. Alright. Im happy with my damn work so go fuck yourselves Nothing Bed
What's the second piston do?
I've been trying to come up with a simple to set up "Train" using pistons for the past few hours, but it's not going well. I know they've been invented already, (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzzxS_MP8sQ) but most of them are bulky. Has anybody tried to build one and had luck with it?
What's the second piston do?
I figured out another way. But it was going to push the glowstone down into my base for a light.

I'll do it tomorrow, in the mean time search r/minecraft for it. It's got like D shaped wiring coming of it. It's run of a 2 piston clock.
