Yes I am. I could make a tutorial if anyone wants to, but you'll have to live with my shitty voice/swedish dialect :v:
I made a video of some of the things i made in MC, mostly pistons. I really love the elevator and wireless redstone mods, notch should implement those things. Well here's the vid: P.S: The video is a bit darker sometimes, but it's still seeable.
dije's autofarm inspired me to make my own block update detector
Yes I am. I could make a tutorial if anyone wants to, but you'll have to live with my shitty voice/swedish dialect :v:
Oh god, this is the most ingenius use for a BUD ever.
I came up with a very simple BUD locking mechanism. Basically you connect the output of the block update connector to a series of repeaters as well as to 1 input of an AND gate. Connect the end of the series of repeaters to the other AND input. Finally you place a furnace by the BUD 'input' position. By changing the delay of the repeaters you can make the lock furnace have different 'keys' which are stacks of different fuels. So in the end you have a lock which will only unlock if the correct amount of the correct material is put in the furnace fuel slot:smile: P.S. you might wanna hook the end up to a T Flip-Flop if you want the lock to remain unlocked. [editline]1st September 2011[/editline] The idea of BUDs have never struck me before so this is all very exciting:smile: Thanks dije for opening my eyes:h:
Can this furnace lock be concealed if placed against a wall? If so, then this presents a whole new way to trigger hidden doors :v:
Yes it can be conceiled, here's my test contraption The mechanism takes a bit of space though
http://zscreen.googlecode.com supremacy
puush.me is better.
puush.me is better.
Does it have the ability to upload somewhere other than their server? Because if not, then it's far from better than ZScreen, unless you're happy to put up with only 200mb of space unless you pay...
i want to be able to manually direct redstone, like if I right click it I can tell it to turn instead of going straight
No but there's no bugs.
Bugs? In what, ZScreen? The only bug I've ever had in that is Windows ignoring the shortcuts after a while, but if you just toggle them on and off it fixes it.
i want to be able to manually direct redstone, like if I right click it I can tell it to turn instead of going straight
and stop it from connecting to adjacent redstone (if wanted).
Compact module version of dije's sugarcane autofarm Harvests instantly (you don't even see it grow, it just pops out a sugarcane item)

There's no way to send all the broken off reeds to a collection point, so you'd have to run through there anyways.
I doubt you'd harvest it nearly as often as an automatic harvester so even if some of it misses the water it'd produce more sugarcane in the long run than you would harvest manually. [editline]3rd September 2011[/editline] I also made a cactus version And a slightly more complex wheat version

You can already auto-harvest cactus with just a block, any block, and wheat has to be replanted. You can make a much more effective cactus farm like this: I've now got so much of the stuff I don't even use the farm anymore. And, honestly, the auto-farming sugar cane is just a waste of resources, I've got more than a full double chest of the shit with just this: The water ways flow into 3 points, meaning any cane I missed while hitting it will flow into one of the 3 for easy collection. That right there is 128 pieces of sugar cane per full growth of all the plants, which is very often. And sorry for the page stretch.
Well it's mostly a proof of concept. And the wheat farm doesn't harvest until it counts 8 block updates, 1 for each stage of the wheat growth. [editline]3rd September 2011[/editline] And after all this is the piston creations thread.

It makes me want to play again, but I know what will happen. I'll start minecraft, gen a world, think "got to stay legit", get wood and coal etc, make tools, hollow out a cave... get bored, give up

I remember back in 1.2.8, when I used to make giant blocky houses, farms, go exploring... but now Minecraft has just lost all of it's magic, it's just so boring. After getting some wood and going through the first night I normally just give up because of how boring it got. I've ran out of house ideas because I've built so many, caves are so regular now, dungeons are just this extra "oh I gotta watch out for that" element on caves now.

fancy auto farms are not about practicality

Does anyone of you pro ones know if it is possible to make a hidden bridge that extends 3 blocks out, in the open (A bridge where all the wiring is under it)?
Yeah. You'll need a sequencer. There are a lot of tutorials for them on youtube.
