The way people are talking they're making it seem as if the internet is the only place where nerdy boys act awkward and strange around girls/women.
I know two girls who play games who I didn't even know were girls until a while into our friendship which is the key point, if girls just sit there and play the game instead of naming themselves OMG GIRL GIRL LOOK IM A GIRL XxX~~~ XD and bragging about their gender they wouldn't get hit on or treated badly etc.
I wouldn't say so, often times any horny dude on a server will try to hit on even the normal girls if they use a mic (for the damn game, ofc), hence why some normal girls hide the fact that they're a girl
The way people are talking they're making it seem as if the internet is the only place where nerdy boys act awkward and strange around girls/women.
nope, gaming conventions anyone?
The only time I payed special attention to a girl gamer was in a TF2 game, and I learned that she was a Philly native, so her, an enemy spy, and myself were sitting in the intel room just talking about "the good ol' days" over voice chat. The rest of the server was pissed.
it's not nearly as bad as when 2 vets are PMSing all over each other on mic.
Guys hate it when they get beaten by a girl. Thats a fact.
Remove the
by a girl
part and the bullshit factor of your post will be reduced by up-to 100%

The only female gamers who deserve this thread are those who don't act like "HEY LOOK AT MY NAME, ITS A GIRLY NAME. ALSO, IM A GIRL! HAI GUYS ^.^"
The only female gamers who deserve this thread are those who don't act like "HEY LOOK AT MY NAME, ITS A GIRLY NAME. ALSO, IM A GIRL! Girls? What did? How I girls?
from my experience every single girl i've come across online is either really ugly or really fat.
from my experience every single girl i've come across online is either really ugly or really fat.
hahahaha really? most I know are slightly above average with a couple below average
What are you guys talking about? There are no girls on the Internet...
What are you guys talking about? There are no girls on the Internet...
So the girls in my porno's are really just trannies? Well shit.
from my experience every single girl i've come across online is either really ugly or really fat.
So your only experience with the internet is a dating site for fat people?
I hate girl gamers that are all the time like "Im a gurl :3, i play gamez" in game chats, i like normal ones.
I hate girl gamers that are all the time like "Im a gurl :3, i play gamez" in game chats, i like normal ones.
We've already established that everyone hates them a page or two ago.
I'm a girl gamer, but I don't specifically tell everyone that I am unless someone asks me. It's better to blend in to be honest. Oh and I don't use the mic because people swarm all over me.
I think sex is almost completely irrelevant in online games, the closest to relevance being if you're having a completely unrelated conversation over voice chat. This makes sexism even more irrelevant and unneeded than it is in real life, and both sucking up to girls who join the game and disparaging them because of their sex is absolutely retarded. Sucking up is retarded because a) if the girl has actually confirmed that she is indeed female without provocation and acts like that's somehow a big deal then she's more than likely an attention whore, who isn't gonna be creeped out by your actions because hey, that's what she wants to happen. She's probably as lonely as you, though she;s just as likely to sleep with you as all those pretty girls at school who just don't seem to understand you. And b) if she's just a girl who happens to like videogames then all this creepy following around isn't impressing anyone, and she's about as likely to sleep with you as scarlett johansson. Being hundreds of miles away probably doesn't help either. And if you're flaming someone using being a girl as an insult rather than a genuine flaw in their personality or playing style then that's equally retarded because, as stated before, sex has no relevance in online games. At all.

When we play games, we often like to play not only because of the game itself, but also because of the community that revolves around said games. sometimes the community can be a bit bland because it's so homogenous (perfect example? MoW community, all WWII militaria people, with occasional RTS dude). I like to play games with a wide variety of people, people of various ages, nationalities, occupations, and genders. Hence gender (gender is a more PC term for this debate) DOES matter when it comes to gaming for me. I like to play with girls not because I want to have sex with them, but because they can be fun to play games with. That's also why I like to play with old people and veterans.
I like to play with girls not because I want to have sex with them, but because they can be fun to play games with. You're not part of the demographic I was calling out, said demographic being the people who try to chat up, or worse, passive aggressively get 'closer' to girls in online games.
I guess it's just me who abuses just about everyone on a game because i can, even myself is not safe from my abuse.
High five brother. Dickhead
from my experience every single girl i've come across online is either really ugly or really fat.
A girl I know at Uni plays TF2 and LoZ and all that Jazz and she's smoking hot. And she doesn't emphasise the fact she's a girl too which makes her even hotter. Damn her boyfriend.
It's gotten to the point where I don't really like using my mic. I get tired of getting called names, due to most thinking I'm a boy who hasn't hit puberty. Unfortunately, I play coop games that require voice chat for decent communication. For the record, I have had a few guys flirt with me. Honestly? It's damned annoying and borderline creepy. Though. The married guy with kids who flirted with me when I was 15 took the cake. That was just creepy on so many levels.

A lot of my gaming buddies (male and female) are on my facebook as we've gotten close outside of the game as well, just as friends in general
