i still don't really understand the whole "fade is OP"
with the new nerf they die so quickly especially to shotguns and they cost a ridiculous amount of resources (50 personal res is a lot...)

i don't know whether it was just lag or something but when i was playing today it felt like fades have a ton of hp. i would have thought just about a full magazine from the rifle would be able to take one down (along with a few other marines shooting at it)

Assault Rifles do not work so well against Fades as you might think, because when you have 3 marines circling around a Fade, more often than not, they're just shooting eachother.
Thank god there's no friendly fire.

A bit late, but never too late.
Don't know what map it was but Marines was hiding behind
some sort of glass, "outside" the map, and they could just shoot
though the glass or walls, at our spawn hive.
God darn it there is no effecient way to deal with fades. You need to be like 3-4 marines with shotties/flamethrowers to take one down and then you'll still probably lose 2 soldiers, but that means you hneed half the team on one place to take down a fade, and before you know it there is another fade attacking your base on the other side of the map. It's just too hard, you cannot deal with fades and still be offensive.

The most effective way to counter Fades is to not let Aliens research them at all.
Aliens need 2 hives in order to get Fades and that's why you need a good commander who can quickly spot the Alien expansions before they're complete.
Just played an awesome round on summit or whatever the map with the cliff is called, pushed like mad at the losing marine team but we just couldnt get the killing blow, I went lerk and took out their power from the other side of the room almost completely unnoticed and they pretty much instadied :D!

god damn I must have gone like 20-1 as a fade. the new blink (I don't know how long it's been there) is pretty cool
Played as Gorge, tried to kill poeple with Bile Bomb but it seemed like I either missed every shot or it did no damage..?

Also irony kinda fucked me over earlier, talked to a few about how awesome the new server optimizations were and the server crashed ~10 seconds after
I heard some people saying bile bomb didn't hurt players so I guess it's an anti building ability

I had a big issue with Fades in my backyard and my best friend Eva suggested I try Alterra Distribution Systems Flamethrower.
Now I don't have anything to worry about, it even takes care of the lawn for me!

Perhaps they could put a limit so that aliens can only have 1 fade at a time or something?
The limit the game really needs is how many turrets you can place in a room.

Gorge can help by accelerating construction speed, but commander is the one who [i]builds[/i] everything.

Might want to add to this statement that the Gorge does build temporary patches of infestation and has the ability to build the Hydra's
Oh and he can take out buildings as of build 179 using his bilebomb. His support role is still intact to heal structures and friendlies :)

They are that effective, thing is the fade is meant to be hit and run, so a good fade will run away at the sight of a flamer or as soon as he's on fire (run back to a craig or a hive and he will live and save himself 50 res).
I don't think they should care about balance right now, and there shouldn't be any class limits. If late game an entire team has enough res to go onos they're obviously playing better than the other team.
