Oh boy this thread is now apparently "Bitch&Moantfront"
Seriously? PMs exist for a reason.
I can't believe this drama is still going on.
Though when the game comes out, if anybody wants to play together i am up for it.
What platform are y'all getting it for?
PC here. We should make a FP Homefront group when it comes out.
omg so much drama.
Also, I got a homefront ad before watching the actual video which was also a Homefront ad. V:v:V

Broke my automerge :(
I plan on getting it for the PC. (actually my girlfriend is getting me it for our anniversary)
49.99 for two games, hell yea!

Homefront server?
Homefront server?
Oh yeah, I forgot this has dedicated servers. That's like a new thing nowadays, innit? Someone should host one? I wanna see how much the servers cost and see if I can afford one.
I will definitely rent this for Xbox first... it's just too close to Call of Duty for my tastes, only with bigger maps... I'd have to play it first before I can decide if I like it... if I do though it'll be for PC, not Xbox
I stopped buying call of duty games once they started coming out with a new one every year. I rather spend my money on something new than a series that is getting milked.
The first two and Call of Duty 4 were my favorite, the rest is all garbage as far as I'm concerned
Boy I sure am glad I hopped into the "Call of Duty" thread and not the Homefront thread.
I've been looking forwards to this game for years.
[editline]7th March 2011[/editline]
I would love a copy of the Japanese version, where Canada invades the US.

What's the matter? A fair comparison to the topic at hand? Better than your moaning that pertains to nothing but yourself
There have been dozens of posts comparing this to Battlefield or Call of Duty. We get it, okay? We get it.

Game uses multiplayer passes so if you rent you have to pay 10$ to play online.

I say it's only models/skins that are different, But the idea is actually cool.

It's not like he was ranting about it.
Calm down, okay? It will all be okay.
- I say it looks like a CoD clone (Not ranting).
- I said the gameplay would blow (Still not ranting).
- Multiplayer will be stale (Not ranting yet?).
- Trying to pre-emptively back up my claim that it looks like a CoD clone so people like you wouldn't bust a tit (Where's the rant).
I don't know why I'm bothering to try talking to you, you must have some kind of learning disability to keep rating dumb and spurting out useless posts. Guess I'll leave then, actual discussion of the game isnt allowed here apparently, oh well. Enjoy your shitty CoD clone hurr durr
Here's a new method of criticizing games for you.
1. Play said game
2. Enjoy it (or not)
3. ???
4. PROFIT!! (or continue being a whiny child)
I recommend that you follow those steps or continue to be taken negatively. Or shut up, both will work.
[editline]7th March 2011[/editline]
That may have seemed like flaming, but seriously, you've shit upon so many pages of this thread.
I, for one, am optimistic for this game and will most likely be buying.

It's not Canada, it's still North Korea.
http://uk.kotaku.com/5754656/north-korea-may-be-japans-forbidden-bad-guys
But it's not Canada. It's North Korea, a boogie man even today in Japan. There are fears about the country attacking Japan, fears stoked a few years back when North Korea launched test missiles over Japan, and fears that reside in the kidnapping of Japanese citizens by the North Korean government. Some, like disgraced businessman Takafumi Horie, are quick to point out that there's no reason for North Korea (or China) to attack Japan, but those fears still exist.
However, the issue is far more delicate for Spike, the game's Japanese publisher. The reason speculated for the cuts is related to the Japanese rating board and the depiction of real countries and real people. Because of this, "North Korea" is no longer the aggressor, and depictions of Kim Jung-il and his son Kim Jung-un have been removed, it is being assumed.
To avoid doing anything productive I made a little icon if anyone wants to use it for a Facepunch Homefront group
Didn't turn out exactly like I wanted but whatever

Might try one more later
I dunno whether I want to get it for PC or PS3. Recent computer problems have shaken my belief in PC gaming.
This game isn't breaking any graphics barriers so I'd guess you'd be fine going with PS3.
I dunno whether I want to get it for PC or PS3. Recent computer problems have shaken my belief in PC gaming.
Well the PC version is "supposed" to be better (not like that really means much coming from game developers) and PS3 versions of multiplatform titles are usually not-that-great-ports so I'd go for the PC version
I could get the 360 version too, but I dunno.
I'll get all 3 :v:
I was going get the 360 version for the headset deal at best buy. But they only offer it in stores now, so i will be getting it on steam.
As long as slot prices aren't too high, I'd be happy to organise or at least chip in for a UK Facepunch dedicated server.
Here some details on the dedicated servers. No price though.

Dunno wether to preorder at gamestop for the hard copy or to get on steam.
as far as I know gamestop doesnt have any preorder offers, but I don't really have anyone to give metro 2033 to and I don't play tf2 anymore... :V:
Also, people who were talking about Frontlines, they apparently worked with people who made Frontlines to make Homefront better.

Released in the US Twice

The hard copy uses Steamworks anyway, so it really doesn't matter.
