Emotional and immersive but short.
sounds great but how short?
I can't believe Steam hasn't let us preload yet, especially since D2D is.
just pre ordered. YAY
It says it unlocks on the 14th and I live in California.
I blame daylight savings time.
I do not recommend this for single-player. I can't say about mutiplayer but single player is not worth the $60.
I played single-player. I can agree with you 120%. Single-player is the most awful game experience I have had to date. The game play is putrid and having characters doing everything for you isn't fun and so 2005. Kaos studies messed up single player, and I gave it a couple chapters. I'm really hoping multi-player isn't the same. The whole battle points thing has me interested though, including the unman drones (which CAN be deactivated and you can continue doing something else, and then go back to it!). Please for the love of god be better at multiplayer.

In addition, apparently you can throw your grenades to the other side of the god damn map. Chucking grenades in this game doesn't mean you can variably adjust them.

Wait, what?
It has no arc or rhyme or reason, grenades just fly way to far for my taste.
this is such a fucking CoD\BC2 clone it's not even funny, the HUD, the movement, the animations, the general combat mechanics, the vehicle physics, the way the environments look

Yes I agree, because CoD/BC2 invented all that stuff, they definitely are not pulling anything from real life when it comes to almost every single one of those things. Absolutely not.
srsly, how the environments look? That has to be the worst complaint I've read about this game yet, the environments look similar to CoD/BC2!!!1! No, they look similar to rl, it's a modern shooter.
And that sucks balls, admit it.
Edit: FPS games are all the same :I

If you are going to keep on whining about how generic this game is, please go. We don't need that.

While he is really stupid, the worst complaint I have seen was on the Homefront forums about someone complaining about lack of environments and suggested they should add snow and jungle areas.
Snow. And jungle. In the North American Midwest. In a game that takes place during the summer.
What.

This applies to everyone that wants to come to this thread and talk about how similar a modern day team-based FPS is to other modern day team-based FPS games (HERP DERP). Just don't waste your time, no one here particularly cares, and you aren't going to make people who are looking forward to the game suddenly go "Oh hey he's right".

Jesus man, can it look anymore like a MW2 clone?
I'm sure it won't be the crapfest that was MW2, but it sure does fucking hell look like a generic modern war FPS.
No Kit customization? What if I don't want the stupid EOtech on the M4
No Kit customization? What if I don't want the stupid EOtech on the M4
It does have customization....
The funny part is that with all the people complaining about it looking too much like BC2 and CoD and other modern day shooters (because it is a modern day shooter derp), I think it will just replace those games for me. Homefront has all the customization, tight controls, and infantry combat of CoD with the vehicle action and tactical versatility of Battlefield. I can't wait :buddy:
Cannot wait!
This shit looks fun as fuck
Ouch edge magazine gave this game a 5 :/
I'm going to have a real hard time deciding if I want Black Ops or Homefront.
oh man oh god
Ouch edge magazine gave this game a 5 :/
Yeah a week and a half ago, they also gave Bulletstorm a 9
Ouch edge magazine gave this game a 5 :/
They have about as much credibility as a black KKK member.
Why? And bulletstorm deserved the 9 imo (ok maybe an 8)
edge magazine are imperialist americans dont listen to them
best korea gives this game 10 out of 10 severed american heads
Ouch edge magazine gave this game a 5 :/
I wouldn't even believe edge if they said shit is brown and smelly.
what's wrong with edge magazine then? :)
I just bought a boxed copy, I can just activate that with steam cant I?
Ouch edge magazine gave this game a 5 :/
They rated it on singleplayer only.
In the same issue they gave Dragon Age 2 a 6.
Also Bayonetta a 10 and Bulletstorm a 9.
Really bad magazine.
