And China with its 1 billion size population, largest army + nuclear stockpile just gave up?
yes :v:
Got the 5 star wanted rating =D For some reason I couldn't pick up and ammo or guns from people I killed so I had to knife which got me killed really fast.

I think it's because of the open maps and how fast you get killed which really saves the knife for those really close encounters. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] I played TDM on one of those suburb map and got 44 and 14. Our team still lost though :/
I heard DICE was talking shit about this game. Is it true?
I heard DICE was talking shit about this game. Is it true?
Apparently, DICE is talking shit to every other FPS developer. Sauce: http://www.shacknews.com/article/67826/homefront-losing-battle-at-launch I don't see why DICE is acting so high and mighty just because they have BF3 coming out. They still have the piece of shit of a MP called MOH.
the game is pretty bad. imo
Apparently, DICE is talking shit to every other FPS developer.
Got any links?
Got any links?
Another source: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/108431-Battlefield-Dev-Thinks-Its-Competition-Is-Getting-Lazy [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] With DICE's high claim of standards of making a single-player campaign, I have now very high expectations for it.
An FPS with a lengthy Campaign? :allears:
I told you guys this was going to be MW2 clone bullshit. But nobody listened to me.
I didn't know you could rape the other team with piloted helicopters, or snipe at each other from mountain tops.
I don't see why DICE is acting so high and mighty just because they have BF3 coming out. They still have the piece of shit of a MP called MOH.
I'd laugh my ass off if BF3 turned out to be a failure.
Multiplayer is pretty fun. You tend to die a few times, but it only bothers me when it's from a sniper laying on top of a rock on top of the mountain looking down at me. It was also pretty fucking laggy my first 3 games, but after that it smoothed out and I didn't notice the lag hardly at all, even though EVERYONE had 1 red bar connections. At least we're all on equal footings. :v: The single player, I think it got a liiiittle bit cheesy towards the end, but over all it was pretty good, if a little short(really really short, honestly it felt like half a campaign, but I'm here for the MP anyways.). To sum up my opinion of the game, :iia:

They still have the piece of shit of a MP called MOH.
That was MOH, which seemed like they were randomly handed by EA and told to make MP; this is BF3. Perhaps I'm too optimistic, but I have high hopes for what DICE can do with the largest team they have ever had working on a battlefield game and a new, very pretty, engine. More on topic; MP in homefront seems good, a few balance issues but what game doesn't have those. SP on the other hand, I started playing then released it seem like just another pointless your a super solder, all of the enemies suck, kill endless waves of enemies sort of thing and quit. I might play SP a bit more later.
I didn't notice any issues with the sound on Xbox.
DICE is funny.
Homefront’s dedicated servers are currently at capacity, and this is causing some matchmaking issues for players attempting to join an online match. The demand for the servers has outstripped our expectations – so although we’re thrilled that Homefront is proving to be so popular, we’re doing all we can to bring more servers online to cope with this demand ASAP. Please bear with us – as more servers come online, you should find you’re able to join matches easily and play Homefront the way it’s meant to be played – with 32 players on dedicated servers.
Well, at least they're working on it.
I find it hard to believe this game is any more messed up at launch than MW2, BC2, or Blops. I still can't wait to play it but all this bad press is annoying/disconcerting :ohdear:
I'm hoping the servers while shit themselves rightside out by tomorrow.

Kertz even says that he wants to work with the KAOS guys, and that DICE is hiring.
Homefront Single Player feels like they accidentally lost all traces of the second half of the plot, and instead of re-writing it they said "fuck it, just end the game there."
Friend of mine said this after playing it, is it accurate?
Just finished up the campaign, total waste of a game. At first when I was in the bus seeing the brutality of the Korean occupation it was great, because it was actually telling me a legitimate story, and effectively at that. As soon as I got a gun in my hands though, all that went out the window. The gunplay is gummy and stale, recoil is apparently a nonexistent force in this universe of plotholes and unexplained missions. I can only recall 2 or 3 events that were of any actual interest or storytelling merit in the game, which were the bus ride and seeing the parents executed in front of the child, hiding in the pile of bodies and.. Well look at that, I forgot the third one. So after a full play of Homefront (Which lasted a WHOPPING 3 HOURS), I can only recall 2 events which were even remotely interesting. The weapon selection is bleak and extremely limited, and the run-and-gun gameplay left little room to actually tell the story of the game. What's even more disappointing is that the level design was really amazing, the ambiance and feel of the mapping really helped you feel part of the game world, unfortunately that immersion was shattered pretty quickly once you had stale, forgettable characters yelling generic lines as you ran through maps so fast you couldn't even remember where you'd been. Missions felt like there was no point to them, and to be honest most of the story made no sense at all. I won't go into detail on the many, many stupid things in the story, but one of them that struck me the most is when you [sp]break into the labor camp via a porta-potty and throw your guns in a dumpster.[/sp] Now I completely understand why you throw your guns away, but could someone explain to me why the people in the labor camp that clearly saw you coming through the porta-potty never bothered trying to escape? tl;dr Don't buy this game, it's a waste of $50.00 Going to go try the multiplayer just for shits and giggles, since according to you guys the only redeeming quality is the multiplayer.
Friend of mine said this after playing it, is it accurate?
Yeah, kinda. It feels like it just started to get rolling and then it ends.
Just tried using the Quick Match feature in Multiplayer. Got sent into empty servers 10/10 times. What a cool game.
Just tried using the Quick Match feature in Multiplayer. Got sent into empty servers 10/10 times. What a cool game.
They're obviously telling you to play with yourself
Just tried using the Quick Match feature in Multiplayer. Got sent into empty servers 10/10 times. What a cool game.
Same bug was present in BC2 up until a few months ago.

You are, he just quoted you and I responded letting you know that other games have the same problem and you should be more patient.
You are, he just quoted you and I responded letting you know that other games have the same problem and you should be more patient.
I am what? You're not making sense. And pardon me if I take your posts with a sense of hostility, its just that after all the mad replies you've made its hard to take you seriously. As far as multiplayer goes, its definitely entertaining but it's so generic I just feel like you're paying $50.00 for a game you've played a million times. Everyone says the Battle Points made it really unique and interesting, but really Battle Points are a miniscule twist on the killstreak system. I figured Battle Points would be something that saves as you play the game, and then you could go into a shop and buy weapons and vehicles on the fly, but instead Battle Points are just used to use up class-defined killstreak rewards. It's a cute twist, but not a $50.00 twist. Disappointed :(
