It's to set up for the sequel they have already semi announced.
It kind of pisses me off that they announced a sequel right after release of the first
It's to set up for the sequel they have already semi announced.
They still could have ended it with [SP] The military taking back San Fransisco not just making it to the middle of the god damn bride[/SP]
Works for CoD and Battlefield so v:v:v.
Works for CoD and Battlefield so v:v:v.
Fucking writers makin me pissed.
They still could have ended it with [SP] The military taking back San Fransisco not just making it to the middle of the god damn bride[/SP]
I thought that [sp]The british news guy said that they crossed it and took it over[/sp] [editline]18th March 2011[/editline]
Works for CoD and Battlefield so v:v:v.
Still dumb in those too
I thought that [sp]The british news guy said that they crossed it and took it over[/sp]
Then why can't I play that? :crying:
Then why can't I play that? :crying:
Because they were pressed for time or the story guy wanted to make an ~artistic~ change in the game
Lol I have up on this game as soon as I saw the main characters disarm Korean soldiers while they were being held at gunpoint, in slow mo of course. Seriously this shit is getting stupid. Can we please have an FPS that doesn't try to make you constantly feel like your the hero in michael bay movie? I had high hopes for this too, pity.
Am I missing something? And I'm sorry, but that's how the world works, it's called "opinions". Whether you like it or not.
You're the type of asshole that would get himself in the middle of a conversation about "x" that you don't like, then defend your right to hate it in the middle of people who appreciate it.
wat
I wouldn't say the game is flawless (mostly because I haven't played it :downs:). Oh but don't forget casually forgetting the unique things Homefront has. Huge 32 player maps, dedicated servers for console players, drones, battle points, battle commander, and unique scenery and maps.
Then what the fuck are you saying. You constantly defend the game against any criticism people have about it. Huge 32 player maps do not makes this game special, other game do it too, and better. And while battle commander is pretty neat, the battle point idea has been around for a long time as well. Unique scenery? What? I've I make a map that has random advertisement buildings thrown in, does that make it unique? If they were trying to replicate anything like Americana they should have gone with a different approach. An expansion where you were blundering around the back yard, maybe not at a snails pace would have been better. I actually think the scene in MW2 where you're fighting through the suburban neighborhood (you know, the RAMIREZ RAMIREZ RAMIREZ level) captured the surreality of the scenario far better than some dirty copy paste houses, run down fast food joints or half collapsed farms. The 'unique environments' in Homefront felt boring and could have taken place anywhere. Their point in criticizing Homefront when they say how it borrows from the oldest shooter tropes, isn't to say how those tropes are bad, its to show how little Homefront did to distinguish itself from the pack. They expected something NEW, not a rehash. Battlecommander is it's only real defining characteristic. Ground control and TDM? Really? I at first read somewhere that the control points locations were going to be randomized to some extent. THAT would have been cool, as it would have teams scrabbling around the map with no one really being able to establish a predicable strategy. Would have made combat more frantic. Instead they merely take a slightly more organized approach to the Battlefield control point idea. TDM really isn't an excuse. That's really about as uninspired as you can get. It's fun, but ultimately boring as hell. Reread some of your other posts and it seems like a reasonable thing to do. Main reason why people are bringing up these issues is because how heavily the game was advertised. It is easy to believe that with the knowledge of the read dawn write and some other people, they coould have been a little more creative than relying on OLD OLD tricks to tell the story.
Hey! I recently saw Homefront in PC Gamer, and since my graphics card is getting out of date and I fucking fail at FPS on PC, I was thinking of buying it on Xbox 360, is this game good? What do you think is shitty? Is it like MW? (If yes, tell me please and I wont buy it). Which one is it more like BFBC2 or MW2/Black ops?

I mean jesus christ, did you just blunder in here expecting everything to be handed to you on a plate? You want information? Go find it yourself.

If you'd be kind enough to link me to wear everything was which was about my questions, then please do.
Going back a few pages in this thread =/= looking up a review on IGN, just saying.
You do know more than one page of a thread exists at a time, right?
Yeah, i've read a few pages back, since im not more of a single player fps'er and the multiplayer looks addictive, ill give it a try
Whatever, I got my computer fixed, so I am done arguing with people. Got all my essential stuff installed. Contemplating rating everyone I argued with hearts because I am so happy :3:

I hope they release a fix for this game soon.
I hope they release a fix for this game soon.
Theres too much to fix, and they're already busy on the next game. :v:
I like how you are walking around in an oppressive world and the koreans are walking evil, then you step into the resistance hideout where the sun shines and all your dreams come true [editline]18th March 2011[/editline] This game is subtle like that
Can we even join the Korean Occupation Force?
Can we even join the Korean Occupation Force?
Nope, was a HUGE disappointment for me.
I love it how the stone cold badass who lit a bunch of koreans on fire with white phosphorus and told you not to shoot because they need to burn is the same guy who gets all upset when he sees the survivalist shooting NK prisoners. Gotta love these deep characters.
Also. Resistance Member 1: "You sure those giant camo nets won't just reveal our safe house to the 50.000 Korean choppers flying around out there?" Resistance Member 2: "Trust me, woodland camouflage totally works hanging from a giant tree in the back yard of a suburban home, right boss?" Resistance Leader: "FREEDOM OR DEATH!"
Just completed the game and loved it, happy that I bought this.
I've been seeing a lot of hackers lately. One was aimbotting and speedhacking. Shits sucks
For some reason everytime a poor, unoriginal game comes out, people always get bashed for blatantly pointing out those facts. This game does look and feel like an even less impressive version of CoD, and there's really nothing about it that warrants a purchase. There's nothing noble about giving a game like this a chance, you're just helping to lower industry standards and unnecessarily lowering your own standards in the process.
