I didn't know the writer of the story was John Milis who co-wrote and directed Red Dawn and Apocalypse Now.
Also as a note: if you prepurchase it you get a copy of Metro 2033. (and ingame bonus but who gives a fuck about those.)

Damn I want to pre-purchase it now. However, I can only afford either Homefront, Crysis 2, or Tropico 4 since they are all being released around the same time. I think I'll just wait for Crysis 2 to come out as pre-order, hopefully it comes with a free game. BUT Homefront is only $50 compared to $60. :saddowns: Decisions decisions.

The timeline was awesome and the story seems so realistic, and in-depth. It's amazing.
I love stories about good old american patriotism that doesn't portray America as the most powerful entity.
My god this looks almost exactly like any other FPS game, unless the story is over the top, this will be an extremely uninteresting game.

if anything its a "clone" of the battlefield series.
Also, some idiot who I wont say their name was spreading around a video and telling people to cancel their preorders. That video was a 4 month old build that was really shitty, and apperantly the game has improved ALOT since then. It just got 9/10 on Italy's PS3 magazine, so I'm a bit hopeful...
I don't know if the OP is around, but on all the websites, twitter, etc there is information about the PC-exclusive stuff, which is looking like they actually care about our platform.
I also find it silly that the sales boosted after valve added the tf2 item :v:

Agreed, It's not a generic copypaste FPS in the slightest, the multiplayer obviously takes some inspiration from Battlefield and do their own twist on it with lots of original concepts.
First review, Official Playstation Magazine Italy gave it a 9/10

It's by the people that did DC, they were hired to work on BF2 then fired after. It can't be a clone of a game they made.
Well I wasn't calling it a clone myself, but I mean its more similar to battlefield then cod.
But Torchlight is a Diablo clone by the creators of Diablo.

They sound like a developer who knows exactly what they're doing.
It sort of annoys me how people are getting mad at them for not adding mod tools on release. Who fucking cares? They said if its requested enough, they'll probably add it anyway.
This actually does look kind of interesting. It seems like a middle ground between the scale and style of Battlefield, and the pacing of CoD. Plus it isn't you generic Russian militants/ Middle Eastern mashup. It's Best Koreans. So that would make a bit of a change at least.
