Is it worth the $50? or should i wait. I know the campaign is only 5 hours long, but I heard the multiplayer is fantastic.
The MP is fantastic indeed, but it only took me half as long to beat sp.
Bought for $50 and have no regrets. Multiplayer is buggy but fun, which is basically every games multiplayer these days. If they sort out the few bugs, and balance issues (sniper rifles, ground drone, tanks), it will be damn near the perfect modern warfare game.
I played the SP. it was so fucking terrible.
is it worse than medal of honor's SP?
is it worse than medal of honor's SP?
I found it better than MoH and Bad Company 2 campaigns.
Maybe in the next game they can focus on the rise of a hero, rather than the plateau of a grunt. So at the beginning you're pretty much like the guy in Homefront who just has to follow orders (and people kicking doors down), then as you progress through the game people begin to see your worth and you get more respect. By the end of the game you're the one who's leading a squad and you get to kick down all the doors or order people to do it for you.
If this does happen in the next Homefront, I hope that they put more decisions in it, especially once you get to be a leader. Order your men to attack head on? Or send them through the side? Or split your group into two fireteams and come in from multiple directions. And also be able to make longer lasting decisions that affect the story of the game.
I'd also like it if the game showed the brutality inflicted by the rebels as well as the Koreans, in addition to showing the Korean footsoldiers in a more human light and not just robots.
Could someone help me out à little?
I bought homefront. But whenever i try to download it says that "steam servers are too busy to handle your request"
Is this a common problem? I don't want to have paid 50€ for nothing
Try changing your download region.
this is definitely one of the most boring games i've ever played. and it really shouldn't be.
It's like reading a children's book...
To damn easy!
It had so much potential :smith:
Found a new favorite tactic for Cul-De-Sac. Boomer + Blastwave with both launchers. It's just like I am playing Bad Company 2 :buddy:

Kopimi and Framperton, despite saying multiple times that they are done with this thread and the game, strike again. All this energy you spend keeping up to date on a thread for a game you don't care about could be spent, you know, playing games you actually enjoy.
Never said I was done with the thread, I'm still browsing it, its just that I don't feel a need to post something I've already said a million times, with good reason. Unlike Kopimi some of the time, my posts had some validity.
I see no reason not to continue watching it from a game design perspective to better understand what some people think is fun and why.
I am done with the game, however. I've played through the campaign twice, the second playthrough taking into consideration what certain people said. And while it resonated slightly more, I'm still dissapointed with it.
As for MP, I've learned pretty much all I need to know about it. Got to level 32 or 33, and saw the exact same thing happening over and over in each match, when I could actually join one.

I can say that for every multiplayer game ever.
I can say that for every multiplayer game ever.
Unless it doesn't have a level up system :v:
Game has become almost unplayable because of hackers. Going to try to get a Steam refund considering this is partly t heir fault (VAC).
Good luck with that.
Battlefield?
I would...but with Battlefield 3 coming out, I'd like to start there, than have both a game and it's predecessor. I would honestly sell my older CoD games but I likes MW2s SP too much to let it go, I liked the WW2 feel from WaW, and then Blops for zombies, and playing with friends.
Good luck with that.
thx qt.

So you're so angry with the game that you actually want a refund on it. What happened with your whole 'wait and see' attitude when it first came out? It's only a week after launch and you want a refund, lol.
Oh, and you aren't going to get one.
It's a great game. Singleplayer served its purpose, and, when/if it is properly balanced the multiplayer will probably make it my favorite modern combat FPS yet. It's an absolute blast to play, and the two times I got to play without hackers I played for hours on end. The problem is every server I go into, we play maybe one map without a hacker, then one joins and it all goes to shit. Largely the problem lies with VAC, so that's why I think I have a better chance of getting a refund. It's a real shame too because a friend of mine who never complains about hacks is giving me the same reports: Can't play for more than 30 minutes in a server before a hacker joins. Fun game, largely ruined by VAC.
In any case, it was between Crysis and Homefront to last me through to Brink, and I am damn happy I didn't buy Crysis. Call of Duty: Future Warfare with even more bugs. Atleast I can play Homefront.
Call of Duty: Future Warfare with even more bugs. Atleast I can play Homefront.
Apparently not because it was made unplayable by hackers according to you. So unplayable you're trying to get a refund instead of waiting for a fix. I would have liked to buy Crysis 2 over this for the level editor, if anything.
The level editor that you won't get until this summer? Man, just realized, that is a really ambiguous date. Hopefully we get it before August.
And I can play Homefront. I can play the singleplayer over again (last two levels are a blast) and the multiplayer for 30 minutes every few hours. Beats the shit out of Crysis. Release +2 now and one friend can't even get past the main menu, and the other one can't play multiplayer yet.
I'll be buying this tomorrow, Hopefully. Unless i change my mind on the spot.
How's the shotgun anyway?
There is no shotgun unless you pre-ordered from Gamestop. Supposedly it is a 30 day exclusive whereby the public will then get it. There is a masterkey and it has it's uses but very close range.
VAC itself isn't flawed, it gets results and stops idiots from being able to hack in games. It just takes way to long to trigger, I know it tries for the whole "You won't know what banned you" thing that no other anti-cheat does, but that can cause problems as someone gets free reign for a month before the ban kicks in.
Plus the implementation in third party games is usually atrocious.
That's what I mean. And that is retarded. They are hacking, fucking ban them out of my game so I can play it.

Well it's going to be unlocked soon enough to the public, Who's acually used the shotgun in multiplayer who did preorder Homefront?
Im not too sure if i want to buy this. -_-'
Gonna be nice when server files gets released. Hopefully there will be more server then.
I friggin love this game. I can agree on that Sniper and that Diablo is op, incredibly easy to kill with.

The shotgun in singleplayer is fucking awesome. So, if it's anything like that in MP then it's a beast. Overall the MP is great besides some hacker issues and some balancing issues that need fixed that they are working on.
I picked up a shotgun the other day and it was pretty good. Reliably kills with 2 shots up to medium range. I'd probably use it.
Is this game really any good?
Singleplayer, not really. Multiplayer, gameplay is fun, ruined by hackers and snipers.

I bought it at a Gamestop for Xbox, I'm gonna go return it on monday. :v:
