unless the multiplayer is about freedom fighters fighting against each other.
hey look its modern warfare 3
all jokes aside i really don't see anything innovative about this game, i mean they had to bundle a cheap headset with it at best buy to at least attract some attention because really, i've seen this game way too many times before.
If it's not broken, don't fix it.
If it's not broken, don't fix it.
so release the same game again? i'll probably buy it anyway for the headset, plus it reminds me of MAG, which i sorta liked.

its a shame you're getting it for a console, well then again I dont want to play with you

why not? because i like call of duty?
Not exactly a review but RPS played a not-quite-finished build recently and said it's extremely frustrating
The same 4-month(or so) old build was released to several sites or something. It got some bad reviews, but the homefront devs said themselves something about that they didn't mean for it to be taken as the final build, and they were just showing some earlier looks.. ( I can't remember where this was ) Apperantly the game has become alot better in that time window, which is believable imo.
The developers have said in one of my gaming magazines that they actually tried to carefully emulate the play style of Call of Duty's recent games, from the melee to the aim time, specifically to cause little need for adjustment between Call of Duty and Homefront and so players can feel right at home. Take that as you will, those who dislike COD.
Perhaps the combat is COD-style, I dont think the gameplay entirely will be. (especially because alot of features are more like battlefield, and personally I think the AI commander is a fantastic idea)
I'm not really surprised that they want to make the game better for COD-players. The games are very successful, although the newest ones suck because they've gotten so repetitive and cheeseball, and the devs arent worth shit honestly. KAOS seems to know what they're doing in the PC realm, so I'm happy about that.
Yep, still worth it. Anyone else who pre-ordered?
preordered with portal 2 at gamestop
Did they confirm that you can support North Korea?
Read the OP.
North Korea IS joinable, in both Campaign and Multiplayer.
I preordered it on Amazon. What bonus (if any) does it give me?
I'll probably go preorder at Gamestop, since I don't have anyone to give Metro to and I prefer a hard disk... 'specially cuz its hooked up to steam. I'm glad they started doing that.
also fuck hats
Those weapon animations are horrendous.
I'm still on the fence about this game. On one side it looks like a low budget version of Battlefield but on the other it might actually be fun if I try it. Is there a demo going to be released? If there isn't, I think I'll pass on this one because I didn't really enjoy Frontlines: Fuel of War.
I hope that at the start of the game you get a look to the korean's cruelty to the citiziens.
Why would you want to :911:
I just preordered this game. I'll keep myself busy with Metro 2033 until the game comes out.

plot twist... COMBINE ARE KOREAN ALIENS
Eh, looks good, but I'm kinda in the middle with this once.
The whole 'Call of Duty meets Battlefield' mix isn't all that appealing to me.

I just watched this and i have to say the multiplayer looks like something i will be playing for awhile.
The singleplayer looks god-awful, and the multiplayer looks subpar and will most definetely become obsolete as BF3 launches.

This is obviously an early build. Blatant polygons and ridiculous* blood spatter gives it away... Look around on Youtube and you'll see several later builds that have more polished character models and more fluid movement. Shame on IGN for releasing a vid so close to release and not saying when the footage is from... it's almost like they have some ulterior motive...
If that's what you're hinting at because I saw videos which looked much much better.

Even the trailer that was released yesterday makes this game look like CoD with vehicles.
It's literally Call of Battlefield 2.

Call it whatever you want, I for one will be enjoying this game.

I've wanted to play Call of Battlefield for a while, looks fun nevertheless.

Stolen from the Crysis 2 thread which showed that video.
nice job showing a 4 month old build that has been much improved since

The visuals aren't my only complain though,
the gameplay looks terrible bland.

thats cool

looks pretty fun to me
This game is trying to be like CoD though, whether you like it or not. Obviously it's a lot different in terms of things like scale, but even copying things like knifing and reloading to "make CoD players more comfortable" is stupid as hell. It could be fun, but a game like this isn't going to hold up well at all in a year filled to the brim with major releases.

HUD is still similar to CoD's

I think it's that mostly Americans hate seeing getting their asses kicked in games so that's why the fratboys won't buy this.
Either that or the major releases.

Why do you consistently continue to talk shit about this game? Do you honestly have nothing better to do?
