neat
Can you find the article or paste it here? I really want to see what they say
I hate to be "that guy" but the gameplay and especially the multiplayer is such a boring Call of Duty clone it almost puts me to sleep. When I first read about this game I loved the story because it was extremely unique in that it wasn't another boring story about America dominating the world while sailing triumphantly across a sea of migrant workers (As a certain game reviewer once put it). Unfortunately ever since I started seeing gameplay trailers and E3 demos, it became apparent to me that the gameplay would just blow. The mapping and the settings and the storytelling would blow my mind, yet I had something ebbing away at my confidence in this game. Now that we're seeing even more gameplay and demos, it just becomes more obvious how stale the gameplay will be, and the multiplayer won't even be worth playing. It comes out in a week right? So I guess I'll have my chance to confirm or disprove my fears then :(
Well, you never know until you ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME.
-Double Post, Thanks Facepunch for lagging when I post-
Double posts?
I want to know if the game is good before it comes out, the free copy of metro 2033 you get with pre-order is a good offer.
Well, you never know until you ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME.
I could say the same to everyone that says this game is going to be awesome and innovative and have really fun multiplayer, but I won't because those are opinions and I'm not a big enough twat to yell at people for having opinions on a game they've not played yet.

So I guess I'll have my chance to confirm or disprove my fears then :( Also, to those trying to say that comparing this to CoD makes you a fanboy or something of that likeness, please just shut up. If you look at the multiplayer gameplay trailer, nearly EVERYTHING is a carbon copy of Call of Duty. Just looking at the gameplay trailer it looks like Call of Duty with poor lighting and terrible font choices for the UI.
Dunno whether to rate you dumb or late.

Along with specific pc stuff, it's safe to say this will be a lot of fun. Metro 2033 is a really fun game too, I would have paid 50$ for it.
God forbid anyone call a spade a spade or a dumbass a dumbass. Also, ITT: People oversensitive about honest opinions of a game I look forward to.
Nobody really cares.
God forbid anyone call a spade a spade or a dumbass a dumbass. Also, ITT: People oversensitive about honest opinions of a game I look forward to.
It's because your opinion is about the same as everyone else's opinion against the game. We already know you guys think its going to be a CoD clone so we don't need another guy telling us it is going to be a CoD clone. It's getting tiresome to hear it.
Can you find the article or paste it here? I really want to see what they say
Sorry, they don't put their reviews online.
blah blah this great concept of a game will be wasted on a Call of Duty shootemup with bad gameplay but amazing story
i suggest you just post your criticism somewhere else, as much as i agree with you some people just can't accept other peoples opinions, plus its been posted about a bazillion times.
i suggest you just post your criticism somewhere else, as much as i agree with you some people just can't accept other peoples opinions, plus its been posted about a bazillion times.
I never said I hate this game, I still plan to buy it, I'm only posting that I fear this great concept of a game will be wasted on a Call of Duty shootemup with bad gameplay but amazing story. I don't see why everyone is so hostile towards anyone that dare say anything even close to negative about their precious game.
You people act like cod clone is a bad thing...

Only reason why people are being hostile is because of the way you are acting about it. Also, the fact that everyone heard it before and really could care less is another reason. What about my post gave off such an offensive aura that everyone feels the need to whine about it? I just said I was disappointed by the gameplay and that it looked like a Call of Duty clone, I never said "OH YOU GUYS ARE FAGS CANCEL YOUR PREORDERS LOL THIS GAME IS GOING TO BLOW".
It's used both ways though your way makes more sense.
irregardless and regardless are both used but that doesn't change the fact that irregardless is a made up word and therefore wrong
Homefront - Grammar and Spelling Lessons
You're right, the thread is better suited to talking about how no one cares what you think
You're right, the thread is better suited to talking about how no one cares what you think
Ooh ice burn, pardon me for posting in a perfectly fine way about Homefront in a Homefront thread, other than correcting other people's grammar and spelling.
Ooh ice burn, pardon me for posting in a perfectly fine way about Homefront in a Homefront thread, other than correcting other people's grammar and spelling.
It would've been a simple correction but you had to keep it going. I don't know about you, but I'll stop now.
You people act like cod clone is a bad thing...
It's really not, Call of Duty has a lot of really cool gameplay features that made it the hugely successful franchise it is today, it's just that I'd like to see something a little bit different if I'm going to pay $60.00 for a brand new game, you know? :ninja: My automerge. I was correcting your correction and you got upset about it and now we're correcting eachothers corrections while I gather boxes from people who are for some reason upset that I'm looking forward to this game but somewhat disappointed in the gameplay. Maybe instead of giving me a vocabulary lesson and yelling at me for having an opinion on a game, you could explain why you disagree with me? Or would that be too much effort for you? Also, Raidyr: Angrily ghost-rating people without reason since 2007

Don't fix what isn't broken.
So in all honesty then, if you all disagree so wholeheartedly with me, what do you disagree with exactly? Do you think the multiplayer looks unique and fun, and if so, what about it? Do you disagree with me saying it looks like a CoD clone? For christ sake at least have the decency to discuss your own topic in a Homefront thread.
I think the 'siding with the Koreans' will be a choosable ending or something, a la Singularity's ending. I don't think they would make a whole separate campaign for it. I'm excited that you'll be starting off in Montrose, Colorado, moving west through Nevada, and ending the game in a battle for San Francisco. There will also be some open environments in between Colorado and California where the Koreans barely have control and where survivalist gangs rule and will kill anyone who steps foot on their territory, American or Korean.
Kopimi, will you stop ranting on how this is a 'COD clone'? No one's forcing you to buy or enjoy the game. I'm not sure if 'siding with the Koreans' means an alternate ending, like you said, or a 'branch' in the campaign. I know Operation Flashpoint: Resistance had such a feature, where you could choose early-on to assist either the insurgents or Soviets, both of which had entirely separate campaigns.
