Its not free, even if you can download it from various torrents.. Awsome game, i agree.
Edit: Sorry, it seems im not updated
Did you know that you can play Tibia on your phone, ipod and iphone. It's crossplatfom online. PC plays together with ippd nd shit.
You'd need a good CPU for that unless you enjoy slideshows.
I played it on an old mac from 2000 and it worked with a solid 60+ FPS
Doom & Quake shareware plus a source port.
Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun have also been released as freeware.
Tremulous is a good choice.
Can I make a request for extra Mac-friendly ones, because those are the only computers my school has
Ive got Duke Nukem 3D, Postal 2 and multiplayer, and the original Halo on my USB stick, probably not the most school appropriate games (especially Postal 2 :v:) But great compact games, Terraria also runs great, I run it on high on an HP mini with no lag, only when theres a clusterfuck of players (like when I joined a 50+ player MP server)
Oh, GTA III also works quite well.

They work yes but are not free.
BF1942 crashed a school computer i tried it on though :v:
All the computers in my college have MOH:AA Pre-installed.
It's like they don't want us to work.
My friend started passing around a portable version of halo, not sure where he got it from, but it can run on a pentium three

Halo is surprisingly light-weight actually, I've played it on my HP Mini, and I haven't met a friend who can't play it, the only problem is that if you try to use non-lan on the Mini it instantly crashes.

Can we be friends?
My packard bell easynote can't run it without having 5 fps/a giant dildo in my screen.
I used to take an USB stick to school with X-Com Ufo Defense and Terror from the Deep. They both fit well on a stick. I bought them on Steam so everything is optmized for newer operating systems.
Just drag it to the usb.

Is that Free?
Last time I checked it was like 19$
Black Shades
Warsow (Or any other Quake based game like Tremulous, Nexuiz, etc)
YSflight
All of these have the added bonus of being OpenGL so they'll work even if the computer you're using doesn't have DirectX. (As wa s the case back when we played them on the school computers)

We had Quake III on the school's server. It would get taken down every week or so, then someone would put it back the next day :v:

Well the demo lets you play for like 15 minutes, it worked for me since the only class I could play it in was short and I was always done my work early.
I play games with my friends in class whenever we have free time. We've played Call of Duty UO, halo, and cs. The thing i hate is when the wierdo wants to play

Halo Custom Edition is so fun. I love the humongous maps and custom vehicles
I've got a couple games installed to my flash drive, (DOOM, Quake 1, Minecraft) I've been looking to put Sim Earth on it, or put an emulator on it.
Wasn't Tribes 2 made freeware?

Playing it on netbook since B24
If you don't explode dropships it's stable 25-30 FPS
