You both have to click the check in the trading window, it notifies you of changes, and I'm pretty sure it un "readies" you if the person your trading with changes something.

I already sent in a Steam Support ticket. the story goes like this (really dumb to trust him on my part) I posted in the trading thread asking for Skyrim for my Dota 2 + other games. He added me, asked for only Dota 2. since mine was not tradeable for some reason (I crafted it with my coal) we agreed that he will send me Skyrim on my email and I gift him Dota2 via Steam. Being the good guy, I sent it first. He told me he sent it, it was not there. later on i found out that he removed and blocked me. Yeah, I got scammed. way to ruin my new year's eve. :(
