You don't need to install the games to get the achievement. Get SAM and enter the app id next to the add game thing. Only ID I know is Rusty Hearts which is 33630.

Also I'm still looking to trade The Ball + The Witcher:EE for Sonic Generations. PM me on forums if interested.
