Last time I checked, Jeb had made 1.7 and most of 1.8 while Notch was on holidays/getting his awards for "most creative graphics and revolutionary gameplay ever". I do hope him being fully in charge of Minecraft will result in the game being much more finished and fun than what it currently is right now. Minecraft was alright as a sandbox game, however they absolutely ruined everything with the adventure update. It feels like they tried to take bits from Terraria and implement them, but failed massively. I will keep a distant eye on its post-release development. I really hope Jeb will make the right decision to fully redesign the game or something. It just lacks life. A lot.

Awesome news to wake up to, though I kind of feel sorry for Notch for the hate he gets lately. Even though I know some of it is well deserved.

I don't think anything's getting "undone". There may be stuff that probably should be removed entirely (The End), but taking something out of a game can get just as much flak as putting something in, if not more. Also Villagers can look like squidward but give them fucking arms! Nobody walks around with their arms crossed all the time!

There is one bad thing that might come from this change in power. From what I have seen atleast, Jeb seems to be less imaginative. He's a good coder, but he hasn't contributed anything original that I can think of. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The moment Jeb fixes the mass amounts of Taiga and Swamp biomes in Minecraft is the moment he becomes the new Minecraft god.

This is amazing news! It's kind of sad that it came so late in the week, though. Jeb only had half a day to unleash his amazing skill. (Then again, that's more than Notch has accomplished in a week.) Can't wait to see what he can do in the entirety of next week, though.

They are good and relatively well coded, but games have had tameable pets for years.
