Fool-proof way on getting 5 skulls on any level (even on nightmare difficulty!):
Traps and weapons needed:
Crossbow (duh)
Flame bracers
Ice amulet
Ring of lighting
Paladin champion
Archer champion (only in levels that have fliers)
Spellbound coinforge (recommended)
Sticky tar trap (only in levels that have kobolds, but not really needed)
Weaver needed: Steel bitch
Method:
This is how it goes. The basic premise is that you need to SPAM THE SHIT OUTTA PALADINS NEAR CHOKEPOINTS. Yeah it’s really that simple. And this is so easy beacuse on most levels there’s only one or two chokepoints. To give you an example, I’ll explain the method on the Twin Halls level. Ok, so there’s two doors. First off, you place two paladins blocking the entrance to the fortress (not the door where the orcs come in, the one that is near the portal). The actual door the orcs break is also a chokepoint, but you place them near the portal so that you can travel to the other side and aid the other paladins quicker. After placing the paladins, you put a coinforge just in front of them. When the orcs come, you use the ring’s secondary fire to cast a storm right above the coinforge. Paladins killing orcs + you killing orcs with crossbow + storm killing orcs + all of this above a coinforge = shitload of money. Believe me. With the money you go to the other hall and do exactly the same. Once you got the two chokepoints secured with, say, two or three paladins each (and only then) you use the weaver. Only the left side is needed. The first perk is useless, but the second one is the one you most need. This will give your paladins regenerating health. They will be almost invincible (well you need to help them of course). Both of third tier perks are also useful, one giving your paladins the ability to stun enemies, the other giving your archers flame arrows. After these upgrades, you only use the money you get to spam more paladins covering the chokepoints. When the last wave is over and if no one died you will have more than eight paladins in each door. So just keep spamming thunder storms to help your guardians and then crossbow the shit out of orcs, they wil be down in seconds. “OMG A FUCKING OGRE IS COMING!!!111” you say. Well, for special enemies like this and gnoll hunters, you use your magic weapons. Just freeze them with the amulet, then throw a fireball or lighting bolt, then headshot them, repeat until they are down (frost ogres are the only exception since you can’t freeze them, just throw fireballs at them). If kobolds pester you and manage to get away, put sticky tar traps between the coinforge and the paladins. So that’s Twin Halls covered.
Some other examples of levels and their chokepoints:
The chokepoint (…): even though there are three doors, the chokepoint you must use is obvious: the middle bridge.
The stream: there are two doors, however there’s only one chokepoint. You don’t need to cover the first door, just put the paladins near the second one, but out of the reach of flying enemies cause they’ll get a beating. This level also has fliers, so spam archers near the core and voila.
The only level in which this method may not work is the last one, because there are eight doors, so covering every chokepoint is a pain in the ass. It’s hard to pull off, but it may be possible, I’ll have to try it later. Feel free to use any other traps you want just in case, but I assure you the ones I mentioned will get the job done.
Note: some chokepoints won’t allow you to place coinforges. Don’t worry, it’s not really that neccessary. It just allows you to spam paladins a bit quicker.
Edit: I was gonna add some pics but couldn't be bothered. I also noticed that in nightmare difficulty you can place less guardians than on normal, or at least I think so. Need to confirm it. But even with the guardian limit you can win easily since they endure so much pain. Protect them from special enemies. So far so good.

Two questions:
1. Steel bitch = Weaver who gives enchantments on those traps?
2. Coinforge, when I get that?

1. When you get the weavers, she is the one on the left. It gives you more efficient traps and the like.
2. You get it when you finish the game. But I made the guide not only for warmage difficulty, but also nightmare. And you unlock that too after beating the game at least once.
There's a limit on paladins, i think its 3, and a limit on archers, don't know that one, so i don't exactly know how you're pulling off this tactic.
Paladins and archer share a limit. Its probably around 20-25 I think.

No way the limit is 3, I've been using 10 paladins or more per level. I'm not sure what the limit is, but I know that there's one for paladins, one for archers and one for guardians in general.
Edit: I checked in Hard Climb and I managed to place 7 paladins and 14 archers before reaching the limit, I don't know if the ones that are already there when you start the level count. 21 seems like a pretty ugly number.
Ah, i never actually noticed that they shared the limit, that makes more sense now, sorry for that then :)
Spike traps with upgrades on are still fucking fantastic
This. I still use spike traps because I upgraded them so they have a snare effect... now I never use the tar trap.
The last thing I unlocked was the swinging mace... it sounds quite awesome. :)
The amount of orcs on the end of the tower level completely took me by surprise. I was having a ton of fun until those big dudes game marching in bunches past all my traps.

Spring traps + push traps + steel weaver and perk that affects ogres = ownage

Which level was that? The really tall one that spiraled and had the platform in the middle for archers? I just littered the ground with slow things and the arches killed the ogres well enough (so did the flame bracelet thing). Also put pushers to push orcs into lava and arrow traps by the second door.
Also is there a formula for getting the 5 skulls? I don't think I've gotten 5 since the demo levels. Fun game. Just needs a level editor, coop, and maybe other mod tools to add custom traps. Coop above all though.

You need to keep your rift points intact. If one single orc makes it through you are down to 4 skulls. You also need to finish the level before the par time, but it's very difficult not to, so your only problem is the orcs (or THOSE RUNNING SHITS, God I hate kobolds)

fucking kobolds running past you and you fire like a dozen bolts at the little bastard and they all fucking miss somehow.
I spent about 10 minutes on one level only to have a kobold somehow fucking sneak past me and make it to the rift.

Also I noticed there's a ballista at the top of that map, never had to use it though. I went back with paladins to get 5 skulls but still the tar shit helps a lot. So does the traps effect ogres since pushers will push / stun them (if you have their upgrade) and arrow traps will do shitloads more damage to them

There's gonna be a patch for PC soon.
Ugg trying to finish the 2nd to last level...any suggestions?
Make tons of Paladins, works usually. If it's the one I'm thinking of, make archers up top, and a path through swinging maces down below

I must get that pusher upgrade if it pushes orcs in the lava. I had the whole wall covered with them between the 2nd door and 1st steps but they did shit all sadly. Thanks for the tips.

It's pretty useful on nightmare if some ogres manage to get past

I guess you meant Ogres right? In that case, upgrading the pusher will only give it a stun ability. If you want to push ogres you need to use the steel weaver

The first DLC is coming on the 25th! Gonna buy it since it'll be dirt cheap in Russia.
As much as I love new toys, it feels a bit.. Quick for already having a DLC, I mean the game's not been out for a month yet, I think?
Oh well at least they're not reskins.
Pretty nice looking, but I'd rather have a map pack.

I found putting the pallys in the right place so that they fought orcs under a swinging mace worked really well (as the orcs would clump around them then all die in one swing).

Again put lots of slow things in the area with the pushers. This will push more regular orcs off. And yeah you need the steel weaver to push orcs. So spam archers, slow stuff by the pushers, and by the second door more slow stuff and arrow traps on the wall. Steel weaver go for flaming arrows and stronger traps / effect orges. If you don't get 5 starts come back with pallys and spam them

I really don't care it's coming so soon. In fact I'm happy. But, seriously now. Only new traps and weapons? Really? I want new maps! I can wait more if it needs to, but I want a more polished DLC, not just THAT.
Maybe there's new maps, and they just highlighted traps because they're the main point of the game, I personally didn't recognize the map in the top-right in the trailer.
How is this game? is it worth the price? im off this week and ive been on the fence for this game for quite a while now.

If you haven't tried out the demo yet, download and decide for yourself.
Personally I would recommend it since it's very addicting and it's not really expensive either.
If anyone is having problems hearing dialogue [sp](the sorceress)[/sp], just open your weavers menu, the dialogue keeps going and you can hear it perfectly.
how do i 5 skull the finale.
its fookin impossible
Woohoo! The DLC's out, but I've got no money, fuck.
