Good point with russian assault infantry, I forgot about that... But honestly who buys them as russian when you have Marines.
Japs simply because they can't stand up to the other teams, and if its anything other than every team can choose whatever army they please, if someone pulls japs then they're at a huge disadvantage.
Woah your saying japs suck?
I went 1 v 2 on victory flags with them and won the thing,
ill still play but they are a great team you just got to know how to use them.
I say gameplay/ let the player pick what to do rather than limiting them? idk
Teambased MoW tournament? I'm in, although I don't have a team.
FoW veteran willing to fight in the tourneys.
If you want to play in the tournament join the steam group posted further up the page, get yourself 2 team mates and start training. Expect the matches to start in a week or two, lots more info will be posted in an announcement at somepoint on sunday or monday.
hey guys fuck tournaments, play against random russians and germans, no?
Snip.
Men of War without arty, without mines and without flamers. Is basically tanks, tanks ,tanks , tanks TANKS TANKS TANKS and more tanks.
No, there isn't a spectate mode.
Flamers are off because in my opinion and that of most people I play with, flamers are way over powered. Maybe a limit to 1 per team per match or something. Mines are useless in competetive VF, they usually last about 10 minutes so thats not really long enough to utilise them, so theres no point. Basically, I want this to be a competition similar to the pro FPS/RTS, not a WW2 battle simulation.
But isn't that the complete opposite of what MoW is?
Men of War: Red Tide is fucking impossible even on Easy.
How the FUCK am I supposed to take on a fucking Romanian Armada with ONE Paratrooper squad?
That also includes the 5 fucking tanks they have there.
Darn, I have no team, if there is anyone who need a decent player for their team in the tournament just talk to me!
Really, people who think flamers are still overpowered AFTER the 1.17.5 patch just don't know how to deal with them. Previous patch, yes, they could burn tanks in an instant, so you could literally charge flamers up to tanks and burn them. Now, however, you need an element of surprise, as you need to continuously burn for several seconds in order to burn the tank to death. If a flamer snuck up on you and was able to fire long enough for your tank to die, then it's your own fault for not covering it with infantry.
I'm in for the tournament but it better be after 2 weeks, lots of shit in school and I really risk my ass.
Think I've got myself a team btw, but some more specific info about when the tournament will be hosted would be cool and so. Btw, I'm Anton Greis (Angre) in Steam, I'm in the steam group.
are the tourny rules gonna change or is it gonna be same :/

BTW, anyone tried making a Kursk Map?
I love this game, Even though it has it's clunky things it's still better than the other games i have played.
Speaking of trainers, I'm still looking for one for Men of War for the 1.17.5 patch which sucked all of my fun away from the game.
I hope Men of War: Vietnam will be more than a reskin.

I was thinking about this too. Maybe control a small squad of tanks in the middle of an AI fight.

I might make one actually.

Sorry to rain on your parade :v:
Making the group was so pointless. Even when I want to organise a match no one gives a damn.
I'll play with you, what is yer name?
Profanwolf, ever tried putting a squad of flamers into that forest then tossing a grenade in their midst?
Do it. And fraps it.

It be Truckers_Delight. Want me to host now or is it too late?

Not a bad idea :v:

Oh shit, are you in the Facepunchers of War group? My name is Anton Greis there, so add me/talk to me.
Profan, could you give answer some questions on the editor? Whenever I'm the textures menu and try to change the secondary texture it crashes.

Usually the tank can't turn fast enough to attack the flamer though, if the guy is at his side or his rear, the tank is as good as dead. I try to keep infantry on them as often as possible, but sometimes even they don't notice a prone flamer at some random bush.
