I played another game with this "EPIC Triumph" guy and he started taunting over some new player ingame today. So I said "Why are you doing this, stop being a tard/poor sport" then he proceeds to kick me from the game.
Kinda disappointed that the Seelow Heights mission is basically a retexture of Kursk with the sides flipped. Still rather fun, although with the amount of infantry I create, it really puts into stark focus the annoyance of only being able to select a certain amount of units.

While I am fully aware that playing against AI is not particularly useful to become good at playing against humans, in general i'm not particularly fond of playing multiplayer with RTSes, anyway. Mainly due to my unreliable connection (nothing worse than losing connection about half an hour in), and the fact that I suck terribly no matter how much I try to fix that. Probably makes me the bottom of the barrel in this thread, i'm guessing.
you bought the wrong game bro, :3
original has a better SP experience... Red Tide too.
Though you should try skirmish co-op sometime... decreases the micro requirements.
That faces of war mission pack
Hilariously buggy and problematic, but god damn the missions are so much more fun that the recent shit, assault squad especially. AS is just the same BS 20 times in slightly different locales.
stats reset imminent
Firstly, we are going to have a ranked stats reset, that includes all player statistics. On top of that, the initial ranked score will be set to 0 instead of 500 as it was before. This assures new players aren't punished for losing some games early on.
Secondly we are going to release a new patch that provides some fixes and resource distribution changes. These include interesting and challenging gameplay effects.
Change-log will be available soon.
Thirdly, we are going to release a second Skirmish Pack. This one features last man standing/behind the enemy lines gameplay. No unlimited resources anymore, but new units and weapons, as well as a medic call-in! More about it soon!
Lastly, there will be a Game Of The Year edition for Men of War: Assault Squad not far from now! It will include all DLC as well as all previous patches and will be released on all major platforms soon! A singleplayer demo will be available too!
Even more to come during the holidays, so stay tuned!
yes!

are you on that german bridge mission yet?
where that huge-ass barge comes in?
there was a joke among the people I played with... the little cutscene that plays when you approach the river became "trotgetsraped.avi"

That mod works with the most recent version of AS?
No. I'm just saying AS's single player sucks.
No. I'm just saying AS's single player sucks.
the "missions" themselves suck, I really like how they overhauled the combat though...
IMO shit would be better with MoW style missions with MoW:AS style gameplay, with medics n stuff.
MOWAS multiplayer ftw.

pubstomping is a horrible problem in all MoW games. Especially with the russian clans who have incredibly high points and they never fight with someone higher then say, a 300 point newbie/teams composed of low point players. It's ALL they ever do, they kick anyone else trying to fight them and if by some ungodly reason you start winning against them, they stop the game and kick you.
Well stop bitching, there's obviously a way to fix this. Get some friends and go pub stomping yourself.

A no-skill tactic for a no-skill tactic makes the whole playerbase quit.
Aka I refuse to lower myself to their "standards" :v:

he plays more inhouse games than pubs.
You sir are mistaken.

I am a "skilled" men of war player, well-you can't really be skilled at this dumbed down RTS because its all about tactics everybody knows about and uses. Its just luck. Anyways most of the rank 1000+'rs are pubstompers, such as Triumph. All they do is play against new players and then laugh at them for every little thing whilst increasing the size of their virtual penis. People like Triumph ruin PC gaming and I wish him death.

Not really, I've played with quite a few of the 1000+ ranking players, and they're usually very good players. On triumph, I've played a lot of in-house games and clan vs clan with him. He's a good player, though his mouth is just as big.
Pub stomping is going to be gone with the next patch, there'll be a limit of rank matches. The most "unequal" team can have a maximum of 200 point difference I think.
Personally, I've been playing ranked 2v2 with a friend of mine to get my ranked up. We've done some pub stomping, and some proper 2v2s. We won every one where one of us didn't crash.

Why do you even care about rank, it means nothing. Triumph isn't a "good" player he is repetitive. Every match I've played with him he does the exact same thing, I counter his routine and he gets crushed and starts talking smack in chat. MoWas is about repetition and knowing you units. There is no skill involved.

This isn't a bloody RTS, it's a RTT, completely different and I wouldn't exactly call it dumbed down, if anything it's rather difficult, especially compared to games like Starcraft. But apart from that I kinda agree pubstomping is a huge problem in this game, probably because all the Russians can't stand losing. But if you know enough people, it should be easy finding a good game.

The fuck is a RTT, its a RTS game, its labeled as a RTS it is a RTS. Its not difficult at all, the only difficult video game I've ever played would be rise of nations against good players.

Not really, a RTS is old school: building bases and, health bars, resource gathering, etc. A RTT, on the other hand, deals mostly with how you handle your units, it's less about planning your strategy from the beginning and more about adapting and acting.

I dunno, Real-time Strategy is pretty vague statement I'd say MoW fits into it.

this
I've played RTTs my entire fucking gaming career... Frontlines: Fields of Thunder, World in Conflict, Close Combat, almost every MoW...
the strategies are MUCH different than traditional RTS like SC1/2, C&C (all), CoH, and the rest.
Base building allows you to produce almost infinite units, and care a lot less about the micro... CoH puts more micro focus but not nearly the level of MoW due to the fact that you can play a macro game and just spam the fuck out of the enemy.

"Gaming career", if you consider gaming a career I give up on you.
"Gaming career", if you consider gaming a career I give up on you.
The pot calling the kettle black times infinite
A gaming career is just a way of expressing how long you've been playing games in your life, so you just gave up on everyone who plays games in their free time, and yourself too.
And yes, MoW is an RTT, like World in Conflict. You call in units, and you focus on those units, there is no resource gathering, base building, superpowers, heck, there isn't even a strategic goal. Just cap the points and hold them, or good 'ol deathmatch.

I actually did this for a good bunch of winstreaks on ranked games with my bros. Even fucking humiliated the sore stacking cunt yuribit, after the first win against him and his usual circlejerkers he demanded rematch on a different map. Didn't change a fucking thing about how we absolutely dominated them :v:

we should play again this weekend if I'm not playing KF 24/7
I hope they patch the obvious FPS problems the game has yet or is it still horrible. Such as if someone has a bad PC it brings down everyone else. They need to implement dedicated servers in a L4D or Defcon type of way. I should not be getting choppy performance with my 1090T/5770. MoW:as is kind of a parody of the wordy performance.
That sale they had a week ago was massive, I thought it was going to buff the community to a larger level, but instead all the new players got their asses kicked and they all stopped playing.
