-Control the camera with the numpad.
-Go to options and disable "one mouse button" or something. I think it's under the "game" category. That'll enable M1 selecting and M2 ordering.
-Change "toggle direct control" in the controls category to the "end" get above your arrow keys.
-Press M to toggle minimap.
i just don't understand what's so hard about a click and drag camera movement system, or wasd
wasd is used for quick keys like in most RTS, the camera can be controlled by holding down middle mouse button
The game Men of War now has a pretty cool Stalker mod, all of it is ripped from SoC, but it's pretty awesome, here's a video from it. Clear Sky vs. Monolith is the Dead City.

At least you changed the codec, right...?

It's picky about the way you do it.

Red Tide is terrible and not worth it.
Why? Stealth missions. (And there's no MP)
MoW's campaign in general is not worth it. It's very boring and/or frustrating. The stealth missions don't help.
Yeah I never really saw the appeal in Red Tide. I always felt that if you needed any extra singleplayer action you could just use DCG.
[editline]12th October 2010[/editline]
With that being said I need some help. What's the latest version of DCG and what's the most recent patch that it works on?

The campaign missions where you have to defend (Like the one in Red Tide with the naval cannon thing) are great.
Stealth missions however are absolutely terrible.

And get raped by Tigers or KV1s your first battle in 1939 (when they hadn't even been invented yet) while you have a bunch of partisans and riflemen with a single AT grenade per squad.

Yeah, and if it's the new units you want then they're available for free on the Digital Mindsoft forums. I guess their stance on Red Tide material is that units are allowed for redistribution but campaign missions are not.
There aren't that many new units in Red Tide anyway, some new tanks and a Schneider pack howitzer.
I just bought them both from Steam, going to try them later.
DCG won't work :frown:
Most of the missions that are against an army us pure bullshit: I swear, every time I invade a region with an army is against 5 medium~heavy tanks backed with a whole lotta infantry backed by some artillery
Am I doing something wrong here? :saddowns:

No. See the Dwarf Fortress' definition of "fun" for further info on the topic.
I should finish my omaha beach map, it has a front with the usual LCVP assault, artillery firing at the beach, along with 4 or 5 villages so far behind the beach, i'll get started on Caen soon and post some pictures here.
Does this have the Campaign mode like in Total War?
(The one where you choose a country and conquer teh woardl)
Great, it seems like they ran out of CD keys on Steam. It just comes up with a "Failed to contact key server" error when trying to launch.
^Same as above

No, but I've always said it should. But not as a country's leader or anything, would be better if you'd only have control over your own squad, with other AI squads moving around on the map.
Basically DCG but with a map of Europe...
The world editor is nice i made a map with many tanks and then i had an epic tank battle.
There's some little things about the AI that really bother me. Like if a tank drives too close but there's a wall between the tank and the machinegun/mortar crew, they still abandon their weapon and then just lie down because they're set for hold ground.
Really. Irritating.

I think theres a way to fix that in the editor, i'll take a peek.
How do I get AI to attack each other in the editor?
How do I get AI to attack each other in the editor?
You need to "start" the simulation first, in the lower right button
Just bought the Gold edition on steam, only £7.50
Hopefully my shitty 9600gt will be able to handle this at a decent graphics level...
Just bought it from the sale, Really decent game.
