Fucking Calliope man. The barrage just doesn't stop. If there's an infantry within its intended spread, there won't be after a 1/2 barrage.
all i do is get arty, it's so much fun launching a barrage on the unexpecting enemy team and getting 20 kills suddenly
But what the hell do you do when the enemy rolls out multiple King Tigers and has enough 91502180mm frontal armor assault guns that they can tie down the entire map without turning.
every game i play is just a pre-made, and every time i try skirmish i get too annoyed with the dumb bug that gives your stuff to other players to keep playing it
It's not a bug, it was like that in normal MoW.
i'm pretty sure it's a bug, if not then it's a retarded feature
Q: In skirmish when I buy a unit, my teammate receives it. Why does this happen?
A: The game automatically distributes the units to the player with the least amount of troops. This feature prevents players from being egoistic about the unit resource pool and just call-in "what they want". Since it's a coop gamemode, it will be harmful to the gameplay if players fight over resources instead of playing together. The least thing that should happen is that the player who presses the button first becomes all units he wants. If you need a specific unit, you can transfer other units to your teammates before you call-in a new one, this will make sure you'll receive it.

Dumb devs.
It's not a bug, it was like that in normal MoW.
It's fucking annoying
"HEY BRO CAN YOU GIVE BACK MY TIGER PLEASE ?"
-WHAT TIGER ?
"THE ONE BY THE BRIDGE, OVER THERE!!"
*guy gives you a stug*
"NO DUDE, THE TIGER!! THE BIG TANK OVER THERE"
and the fact that there's no way to place a note/marker makes it even worse.
Press N.

According to the devs, pressing the button first makes you become ALL THE UNITS YOU WANT.
Today, I strive to be a sturmtiger.
Dumb devs.
wow, are they really that dumb? honestly i hope they're just too lazy to fix it and don't want to admit it
If they are worried about excessive leeching then do it like CoH, split resources between players, not the fucking soldiers.
I don't want to work out a deal on how we are going to split certain squad or ask who ordered what, wasting precious minutes where you could be moving and using your troops already.
I don't get why they didn't just make everyone have separate resources. It's a lot better than saving 1000 points for a jagdpanther and then having someone else get it.

Or you could use vent and organize it properly.
You get more of this:
"Hey bro, can I get that StuG I just spawned?"
"Okay man, *Gives StuG to other player*"
And less of this:
"Hey, can I get that tank I just spawned"
"NO DAT MY TANK I GET IT IT GAVE IT TO ME MY TANK MAN NO DAT MY TANK YOU CANT HAVE"

If you have to worry about your teammates leaching, you should probably find better teammates.
Except that takes too long. We shouldn't have to deal with re-assigning resources at all or we could miss a crucial opportunity to deal damage to the AI's defense.
They should just remove the unit trading completely and stick with sharing of CP or special abilities (Airstrikes/airborne troops).
Point to case, it's a stupid system.
Fucking hell the M19 with it's R.A.P.E. shells is just too much fucking fun. I shot a single burst at a full Halftrack and everyone inside turned into tomato soup. Or I saw a PZ2 luchs with infantry surrounding it, it actually shot THROUGH the panzer to hit the guys behind it.
So is the calliope, have an enemy that knows his way with infantry and has them spread out and covered? Fire one barrage = 80% ded. Another barrage? Dey all ded. It doesn't matter how good he is, you cannot survive the massive rocket spam that descends upon you like a million Thor hammers :fuckyou:
Downloading this, played MoW and loved it, so I'm gonna give this a try, I hope it's really been improved.
Somebody who wants to play? Add me on Steam I'm Sasasing (or Xfire which is the same)
You know, I realise just now that ProfanWolf is probably going to go on a mapping rampage with Assault squad's editor.
I've gotta learn how to get around that editor.
Profans map from last time, he told me it was TOO big to be actually used in MoW :v:
Any WH40k mod on the horizon?
I imagine Space Marines could be classified as tanks with armour thickness and all, that would require animating the models and all though.
Agreed, Men of War really does need a WH40k mod. It just SCREAMS "Put thousands of guardsmen in this location".
Good thing Men of War doesn't have a morale system though, otherwise it would just be "SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN SQUAD BROKEN"

Splitting the resource gain between a few team mates would make everything take a lot longer to get, as Ghost said, get better team mates. You won't miss anything too important in the span of the 10 seconds it takes to switch over a tank or a squad.

You know i will :v:
I might thin down the bigass map i made before
or just make something completely different, like a winter map!
Does somebody else have problems typing in the @ symbol on the mp? I'm trying to log in but I can't because I can't put the @ symbol
Nevermind, found out the solution :v:
I think the beta's maps are a bit too small, most vanilla maps aren't huge either but the huge ones with 10 players were cool.

Even with better teammates it's a pain. Sure if the whole team worked as one it wouldn't be a problem, but that's an utopia. Also even if that happened, I want my tank, I bought it and I should get it (not much of a team spirit I know).

Yeah the problem with small maps is how easy it is to spot now. It's fine on larger maps but on small maps you can't have a damn tank in your spawn without everyone seeing it.
I'd have to say the USA v Germany skirmish on Assault Squad is pretty damn big for a max-4 players map.
In fact, it's practically material for an offense V defense MP map already.

Was playing with 2 friends a few days back, I ordered in a tank, my team mate got it, I'd tell him I ordered it in, 10 seconds later, 1 reinforcement received, likewise when I got another team mates unit. Not hard to share.
Try doing it with four players.

But why even have us do that? If it used a better system we wouldn't need that. Also it pretty much limits the mode to friends only.
Well it's the best they have. If the person who gets what they order you'll most likely end up with a hoarder while your team-mates are lacking troops. Or if you split it up, it'll take 4 times longer with 4 players to get anything since if you give 4 players full resources each they can just spam units, destroying balance.
Anyway why would you bother playing coop with pubbies?
