That's what I love about Men of War. It doesn't matter who's got the biggest, all that matters is the way you use it. :q:
It's a matter of who loads APRC and shoots first. :v:
Oh god, I bought this and initially didn't like it until I found the direct control feature. Drove a jeep into a fuel depot and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Also, I need a good tutorial for getting started in the editor. I can't seem to place terrain etc, because the ground just stays black. Also, how do I make the map playable? Is there like a "test" feature like in most rts scenario editors?
Press F1. (Or F2 I forgot)
But how do I dictate which team I control?
Numpad numbers dictate the team, and the "test" feature is in the bottom right corner.
Damn... How do you destroy artillery? I always play on Fields (4x4) but my Tigerking cannot reach it. Any way to destroy it without being noticed? [editline]8th November 2010[/editline]
I'll trust for mods to fix things like these. [editline]7th November 2010[/editline] I'll be happy to make tutorials for whatever you request.
Well, i like to know where everything is placed (buildings) and how to make rivers for example. I see alot of details in the map but its just hard for me to find the fitting objects and stuff. Would be great if you could help me
Also who else here would love a map in which the weather is completely batshit? By that I mean really powerful thunderstorms, blizzards, fucking hurricanes and so on. Though I'm not sure if that can be done in the editor, but heavy tanks being lit up by lightning for a split second is just awesome.

Shall try that. And do you know how to get GEM editor into windowed mode?
A Sniper can take out the crew. Otherwise an Officer and use the flare gun, people rarely notice the smoke in time. Fast light tanks work wonders too, heck you might even manage to steal the artillery (but if they have it defended then it's going to fail horribly). [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] Also the final line of defence in skirmishes make me rage hard. Usually 4-5 heavy AT guns with 2-3 artillery pieces behind. Any tank that tries to take it on will get either blown up by the AT or the tracks will be blown off and then blown up by the AT. Infantry will get destroyed by the arty (or the fuckers in the trenches), and light tanks will be raped by AT and arty.

Shall try to steal one in the next round
Bad idea, you'll end up stuck with the howling wind that rapes ears for the entirety of the match.
Ah yes I remember that from a map in vanilla MoW (Rustle of the Sands I think it was). Is there no way to disable that or at least not make it rape your ears?
Ah yes I remember that from a map in vanilla MoW (Rustle of the Sands I think it was). Is there no way to disable that or at least not make it rape your ears?
You can turn off the sound in the GEM editor
What is the APRC round?
I made a playtrough of the men of war assault squad closed beta. Its the soviet skirmish mission http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TQt1hHflGI
I wish there was skirmish in MoW..
What is the APRC round?
It has better penetration than the normal AP rounds, but has less range (It is about 100 units). It means Armor Piercing Composite Rigid.
Also it rapes everything in this game.

Like this one rain sound the game has that sounds like mega-tinnitus.
APCR has 30 meters shorter range then regular AP, just stay at max range if you don't want to get murdered by it.
I wish they could add smoke rounds/smoke launchers to the tanks, it would help a lot in terms of attacking. They did go the right way with adding smoke artillery rounds. Nailing a guy with a smoke round is one of the most satisfying ways to kill a guy. Also we need Canister shots. For example a stuart, 37mm shotgun anyone?
How do you give units to other players in AS?
How do you give units to other players in AS?
Select a unit, then in the upper-right corner you see a button. click it
I wish they could add smoke rounds/smoke launchers to the tanks, it would help a lot in terms of attacking.
Now not only you will leave a trail of crushed trees and structures that your tank went over, but you'll also be emmitting gigantic smoke trails, too!
Although I do find smoke grenades incredibly useful. Toss a few 'nades in a spread around a building or point and your infantry will have a much better survival rate. That is of course, until the effect wears off.
Now not only you will leave a trail of crushed trees and structures that your tank went over, but you'll also be emmitting gigantic smoke trails, too!
Not only will you crush whatever the fuck you drive over, you'll also be able to fire at enemy tanks while they can't even see you.
Not only will you crush whatever the fuck you drive over, you'll also be able to fire at enemy tanks while they can't even see you.
Well it's effectiveness is questionable, if the tank is leaving a path of smoke behind itself they can just start shooting at the beginning of the trail via direct control and that's that. If it makes a large, radial smoke cloud on the ground then it would probably be quite effective.
Holy shit, I just disabled 3 Shermans with one shot from PzIV. I shot an AP round towards first Sherman, and the shot crushed the hull and ricocheted into second Sherman that was behind and slightly left from the first Sherman. Then the round did excatly same to the second Sherman and ricocheted into third Sherman that was further back and destroyed the hull from it. Too bad I didn't have any video recording thingies on.
