I love it when hosts ragequit. First he went "only arty=kick" (which makes no sense, since we were 6vs6 so why not have each player specialize in a category?) and kicked one of our team (so one of his opponents). Then he sends a single Panzer 4 against a KV-85 and a IS-2, it gets one-shotted and he quits the game.
Another time I got a scout to the hosts artillery position (a Katyusha, a mortar and a few artillery pieces), plant a charge, his Katyusha blows up taking everything around with it, host ragequits a few seconds after.
I love when they create a humongous explosion. Happened with a Sturmtiger in one of my online matches. Fired at its side with the Pershing and it exploded violently creating a large charred area.

Yeah, I love it too. I'd love it even more if ammunition was taken into account when stuff explodes (so a truck filled with Sturmtiger ammo would make a huge explosion).
Also maybe you already know, but for those that don't: Shoot the Sturmtiger in the barrel of the gun, it will ensure total destruction (the ammo deposit blows up).

Why would someone buy a sturmtiger? Unless the reload times have been drastically changed.
Why would someone buy a sturmtiger? Unless the reload times have been drastically changed.
Dunno. They are horribly inefficient. You fire once and have to wait an ungodly amount of time to fire again, at which point even the slowest tank can just roll in front of you and blast you to hell.
It does fire quite a nasty rocket though, can destroy anything with one shot. But it's not worth it.
I love driving around fuel trucks.
Sure, it's a waste of a guy and it probably won't do anything, but the explosion is cool. :v:

Just bought the game and I'm completely lost on how to install the Dynamic campaign generator, no idea where to put any of these files. I read the readme and it said to put the files in the \Men of War\mods folder. I don't have any such folder.

Hmm, somethings wrong. I set up a campaign and all, when I try it all it is is a black screen with HUD.
My settings:

Are you using the right version of MoW? You need the one which is something like 1.11.3, take the 4.pat and 5.pat out of your game folder if it's any higher. Steam should be the right version.
Once that's done you'll need to extract the maps again and set up a new campaign following the instructions provided exactly.
Haha, all I did was set the thing up again and it started working. Thanks, I always enjoyed facepunchs help.
So profanwolf, how did you manage the automatic cannon thing?
I'm in the Assault Squad closed beta. I will not give away any information that could disclose my identity. I will provide you with a screenshot to tantalize your desires. If you have any questions about the beta let me know.

Can you actually play the skirmish mode? (I assume you can't since it's grayed out)
Why would someone buy a sturmtiger? Unless the reload times have been drastically changed.
When you end up in trench-warfare the Sturm is the only way against those IS-3s, anything else will only break it's tracks. Sure they fire very rarely, but if you aim it well it's one IS-3 less, and in trench-warfare it can mean a lot.
By trench-warfare I mean when everyone is using heavy tanks (KT, IS-3 and so on) to hold a line and not moving forward by an inch. The heavies sit there and shell eachother from the front at high distance (which means they don't do shit to eachother, just hinder eachother from moving). This creates a big no man's land in the middle where anything that enters it is pretty much dead due to the heavies and artillery. Which means you are stuck, unable to use infantry, unable to advance and only able to pray that one of your artillery shells will blow up a heavy. The Sturm can then blow one up with a single rocket opening a path, and then you can advance (and the opponent's heavies can't turn around and shoot you, because if they turn they expose themselves to your other heavies).
I got a proposal for FP but it may be slightly complicated. Doesn't matter if you have the steam version or the retail version as we'd be playing over LAN (hamachi)
I play a heavily modded version of the game in essence to make it 10 times better. Partially modded by myself and others
HD sound pack that just tears default sounds apart, and an entire vehicles and nations mod that adds more shit then you can think of.
Thing with men of war is online wise it is picky as SHIT. If 1 file between me and you are not in place and not identical it will desync.
To make it easier I compiled all the "custom" stuff i have into 1 rar file, uploaded it, then you can just download it as 1 big package and slap that into your MoW folder.
We have a group of about 6 of us that all play it.
add me on Steam feel free to do so I can help you set it all up.
Just throwing out the unit list to at least give you an idea what what the mod partially does. (thats not even actually the full unit list, it has been updated since then.)

Unless you make that a mod, we can slap in our mods folder, i doubt anyone will fuck up their MoW installation and not be able to play MP at all, except for with you.
Didn't someone here make a pretty cool defense map? Where is it now?

Is there a way to change the size of the brush when I wanna change texture, terrain or add grass in the editor?
Use the + and - on the numpad.
Thanks! I really wish there was some kind of a manual with all the keys, and what they do.

Just ask here, me or the others will probably have an answer.
