Well it's effectiveness is questionable, if the tank is leaving a path of smoke behind itself they can just start shooting at the beginning of the trail via direct control and that's that. If it makes a large, radial smoke cloud on the ground then it would probably be quite effective.
:downs: Smoke launchers don't emit smoke from their firing position.
:downs: Smoke launchers don't emit smoke from their firing position.
according to COH logic smoke launchers fire a grenade straight up from the center of the tank to a height of 10 meters before exploding in a cloud barely the size of the tank. also they suck in that game.
Holy shit, I just disabled 3 Shermans with one shot from PzIV. I shot an AP round towards first Sherman, and the shot crushed the hull and ricocheted into second Sherman that was behind and slightly left from the first Sherman. Then the round did excatly same to the second Sherman and ricocheted into third Sherman that was further back and destroyed the hull from it. Too bad I didn't have any video recording thingies on.
:O I bet some serious raging occurred from it to, right?
Thats nothing, I once hijacked a repaired tiger (you know that bug that when it gets disabled when about to fire, the moment you get in the round goes off) only to have the round go off in towards an enemy hummel on the other side of the map. Got kicked for "hacks" shortly afterwards :v:
On tram depot, I once repaired a puma that the enemy thought was completely dead and drove it around the other side of the map and stole all of their defensive guns and killed two of their panzerwerfers when they were about to fire. It was hilarious.

Once on Tram Depot I was left with only a little ammo for my M19, so I kamikaze'd the artillery fortification(a 45mm and three mortars) that was supressing my squad that was hidden behind the trams, I quickly dodged a Panther and a Panzer III, and then I gunned down the crew with the main gun and drove right behind the forticfication when the two opened fire on me, blowing up both the guns and my M19.

I love the editor! [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] Even though I suck at it.
What, you are just making this stuff up as you go? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soldiers:_Heroes_of_World_War_II Developer:Best Way http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soldiers:_Heroes_of_World_War_II Developer: Best Way http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_of_War Developer: Best Way+DMS And as I said, DMS was only responsible for a very small part. Only doing some of the sounds if I'm not mistaken. They are not even mentioned on the front of the box nor on the Steam page for MoW as developers. Also, yes let's just assume that the game will be full priced (which it will most definately not be), even though nobody ever claimed it was a full sequel, and how expensive are expansions anyway? 30 euros tops? I'd be really suprised if it was over 30. Yes we would all love a completely new game on a completely new engine, but fact of the matter is that for a fledgling company that is not doable. AS's success holds the future for the MoW series, because BW sure as hell is done with it, except maybe some more offline milking (vietnam, red tide, some new game). Looking at how with such limited resources DMS managed to so tremendously improve MoW, I can't wait to see them get to opportunity to create a full sequel.
Sorry I'm quoting the part done by Edthefirst... You know that you're supposed to report glitches on the forum right?
So, DCG. Got my wirbelwind and a squad placed up against a 34-85 and an IS2. [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] and an su122
There's no offline skirmish option in open beta, so I suppose closed beta testers get a different client or did DMS remove offline skirmish completely?
There's no offline skirmish option in open beta, so I suppose closed beta testers get a different client or did DMS remove offline skirmish completely?
It's only removed in the open beta. Closed beta testers got a client that was still compatible with open beta MP, but could use the SP skirmish while open beta testers could not.
So uh, is it possible to get the 'other' client? :v: And does it have more options for skirmish?
Anyone here felt that the singleplayer was shit? The missions especially. Oh, and I wished they made controlling a ship better. Would be fun too!
The non-stealth missions are cool. The stealth missions are terrible.
The non-stealth missions are cool. The stealth missions are terrible.
The Russian Stealth Mission after Seelow Heights. :argh:
The stealth missions basically ask you to kill a tiger with a knife.
Considering almost every single SMG dude carrys an AT grenade, it's not that hard if you try. It's still a bitch to do it.
Trying to complete the Caen Outskirts MP skirmish mission is a bitch. The AI spams Sherman tanks while I have to wait ages to get my hands on a Pak. I don't count on AT infantry, because they are useless.
I don't count on AT infantry, because they are useless.
What.
AT rifles are extremely useful Shoot track flank the tank done
AT rifles are extremely useful Shoot track flank the tank done
Also, Panzerfausts, Panzershrecks, AT-Grenades
Trying to complete the Caen Outskirts MP skirmish mission is a bitch. The AI spams Sherman tanks while I have to wait ages to get my hands on a Pak. They just need rocks etc. so that they are in a good cover position and close enough to be dangerous. I managed to stop the AI spam by just getting 3 Panzershreck teams and placing em into different sectors.
Also, Panzerfausts, Panzershrecks, AT-Grenades
Panzerfausts and Panzershrecks are useless against heavier tanks, AT grenades to the engine always work though Wish you could jam regular grenades between the tracks of a tank to blow the tracks or do any damage at all with regular grenades, one of those could probably gut a light tank if it drove over it
Panzerfaust and panzerschreck should both be able to, and have the power to, penetrate the front of a Pershing with ease.
Aren't they both able to penetrate 200mm armor?

Wow, you guys are amazing. All I've ever done is .50 cal a Hetzer to death.
