Yeah, strategic use of the AT guns and tanks, as well as good placement of mines meant I managed to hold them off fine, luckily.
They should make a mission ala Pavlovs House. You, your men, AT rifles, a few snipers, a big ass-house in no-mans land and an entire pissed of german division in your way. And you will fucking HOLD.
I mean the door to that house was so full of german bodies they had to kick holes in the corpse walls just to be able to shoot outside at the other hundred germans

I recently replayed that level on medium and managed to lose at 100% loaded, with german infantry simply swarming past the final AT guns as the workers finished loading. Then I loaded from the 75% save and won with german infantry attacking the final two alleys into the train yard with the AT guns firing away with HE and the T-34 in the middle of the court yard tracked and being shredded by a few panzer IVs. Mission's awesome.

This would be good, if the inter-building infantry movement wasn't weird as fuck, and knowing DMS an onslaught of enemies against two squads of infantry or so isn't that far-fetched.

Ahhh yess. I remember that. I played it like three times, and I beat it each time somehow. Every single time I remember thinking "Ah GREAT, this is hopeless, i'm going to have to go through all this again."
But every time, I found one more molotov to toss in a halftrack or another AT grenade to just TRY and knock out a tank blocking a narrow alley. I remember direct controlling a sniper loaded with grenades on a roof and going through huge stacks of ammo just knocking off every soldier that poured through this one side while trying my best to keep tanks from passing by with grenades.
Guess who's going to reinstall MoW now.

You could always just install the AS beta.
In the AS beta, I rushed a BT-7 in, and then I remembered that it was MoW.
I can't remember my name/password for gamespy in the beta. How can I request it to be emailed to me?
Aww shit we were doing so well, winning 63 to 0 in a 100 point Assault game. It was a 6v6, but then 2 of our players disconnected and then we got owned. Ended up being 100 - 73 or something.
Had two amazing rounds today, one with a single mg holding down two squads trying to flank me and 1 single assault rifleman that took down a machinegunner, mortar crew and then a heavy mg. After all that carnage he took over the heavy mg and shot at least 1-2 infantry squads.

gamespy.com
Pro-tactic for Tram Depot 2V2
Buy Heavy MG first, let it go down either side of the map with the long road part, deploy and sandbag it as soon as you see the enemy infantry, buy squads and move them up, then buy AT gun and place it behind the MG.
MG will mow down first wave (4 seconds to kill at least 8 guys), squads will move ahead and spot the sneakers, AT gun will take out the scout car that will try to crush your MG.
After that just 'fence up the point, battle won.
We need to get an FP game going tomorrow, say 4pm GMT -5?
Yo so anyone want to get a game going?
Get on you fools. I'm getting so lonely triple-posting in this thread.
I love this game, but the dumb unit sharing thing in MP is very annoying. If there was an option to use classic I-bought-this-it's-mine mode, I'd play it more :saddowns:
Wait a second. I haven't experienced said unit sharing. I'm curious how does it work? Everything I've bought so far has been delivered directly to me.
In skirmishes (Maybe MP team games too, don't think so) you share points and whoever has the least amount of units gets whatever was ordered.
Only in skirmish. You can still give units to other players in regular MP though.
Ah ok so only in skirmish. Nevermind then.
Anyone want to get a game going?

They would also have to make the AI a bit better so that they don't have to rely on you for everything. I mean, you have 30 guys, all grouped up in a single building surrounded by the entire German Army, there are tanks everywhere, bullets are already flying, your defenses are up, you set your soldiers, prepare for the fight...
And then half of them refuse to shoot until you tell them the exact soldier/tank they should shoot. Don't get me started on taking cover.
Another problem would be the supplies, depending on the amount of attacks, which would probably be three or four, the place would need a large resupply because I'm pretty sure that the the soviet arsenal would run out of ammo and troops(if you suck at micromanagement) on the second or third wave.
I just hate how when you change a unit's orders he stops what he was doing previously and takes a second to finally change what he's doing.
My biggest example is when you've got guys running towards a spot, but then you tell them to move somewhere else, they'll stop running, turn to face the new direction, and then begin running again. It's particularly frustrating when men are getting shot at by the enemy. That is my biggest annoyance with the game. If only the AI would be more fluid in their motions most of my complaints would be removed.

There is AI in Men of War?
The AI takes control when a player leaves a game. All it does is goes straight into your line of fire.

Then summon artillery in a no-arty game somehow.
True story.

I wish there was LESS micromanagement in resupplying your troops.

Another good tactic during that mission is to repair any captured tanks during those 2 minute breaks you get.
How can I get the editor to work with assault squad?
I wish there was LESS micromanagement in resupplying your troops.
There should be a "Load ammo" right click that is the default right click for when doing so on tanks/trucks/artillery. Units with only 1 clip/magazine of ammo would automatically run to a truck that is actually close to them (to prevent them running across the entire map to pick up some 4.45), take it, then immediately go back to their previous position. It would make me want to use supply trucks more often.
