Doesn't anyone else rage when this happens? You run out of ammo for your Mortar, instead of buying a new you, you decide to buy a Supply Truck instead. You order the supply truck and you order it to "inspect" your Mortar. Next thing you know, your supply truck has ran over your god damn mortar!
How can I get the editor to work with assault squad?
You don't, because the editor for assault squad isn't out yet, since the game isn't out yet. You wait.
I wish there was LESS micromanagement in resupplying your troops.
Kinda like the "repair vehicle" button, just needs a "resupply" button, and you'll click a crate or a truck or whatever. They'd take, like, one grenade, one AT grenade, and sufficient ammo for their guns.
Shift+Q/ shift+A Spacebar Right-click drag important buttons to the hotbar. Never worry about those tasks again.

Be as specific as you can!
I just select the entire squad and go around sucking up all the ammo from near by dead bodies. It automatically evenly distributes the ammo, although grenades not so much, so eventually your riflemen will end up with MG ammo because the MG gunner has too many grenades etc. Still, its better than nothing.
I wish there was LESS micromanagement in resupplying your troops.
Yea, that's the problem with Men of War. It relies too much on the player to do everything.
Yea, that's the problem with Men of War. It relies too much on the player to do everything.
I want the Blitzkrieg supply system for Men of War. As in, supply trucks have an area of effect, motherfuckers come from the truck to distribute ammo for everyone within that area. [editline]6th February 2011[/editline]
Had two amazing rounds today, one with a single mg holding down two squads trying to flank me and 1 single assault rifleman that took down a machinegunner, mortar crew and then a heavy mg. After all that carnage he took over the heavy mg and shot at least 1-2 infantry squads.
Pretty much a normal day on MoW, I'd say.
never play any total war games
See that's not as big of a deal for me, because in the Total War series you have thousands of troops to manage; you can afford some casualties. In this game, you've got a squad running across a road only to come up to a tank. Then you tell them to run off the road and go behind some cover. Your men then decide it's a good idea to stop running, slowly turn to face the direction you told them to, and then proceed to running again. Of course by then it's all too late because you've taken about 2 HE shots from the tank and taken the blunt of all of its machineguns.
I'd like to see a sudden take cover system for the NPCs, in which, in case of a suprise attack while the squad is moving to a new position they all quickly scatter around and take the nearest or the best cover they can find. It would probably be the first thing that those that got attacked would do in a real life scenario, not just run around in a single group towards a piece of cover.
I'd bind that shit to LMB
I think there is a button somewhere to tell a squad to scatter. Never tried the button though. @edthefirst I'm thinking of some MoW:AS maybe later today, add me and on steam, and I'll give you a shout once I get home.
Then some asshole comes in with rocket artillery and makes all that a waste of time.
It's your own fault for being stupid enought to leave your troops and truck vulnerable like that then. You pull back your guys and make sure the opponent doesn't know where they are. Besides, if you know there's rocket artillery in the area, bait the guy into firing the thing and then assault while it's reloading. Then spread out the guys so that they don't die up in one big bunch when the raining starts again. And for some reason most of the folks in multiplayer doesn't understand this, and then they wonder why my infantry never dies.
Ah ok, sadly I won't be able to play at all today. Tomorrow is looking good though. I'll add you on Steam a bit later.
Beta closed. FUUUCK.
Beta closed. FUUUCK.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF- 25th of Febraury is launch date, damnit.

When you're trying to resupply your tank/mortar/at gun/infantry or anything of the likes, you can't move it out of the way, it's just something you need to do that locks you into a micro hell, and deathtrap. What you're saying is possible to do on a 3v3 + map, but most people don't play outside of that, and thus the map isn't big enough to completely spread your units, spot or whatever other factor to help withstand a barrage. Saying "it's your own fault" is a rather childish, and CoH/Gamereplay's esque reply to something that the game clearly could've done better for just a better general in-game quality.
That didn't last very long.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF- 25th of Febraury is launch date, damnit.
Exclusive tester. :smug:
never play any total war games
i hate that in mow too, but i love total war. its because in total war you command an entire group of soldiers, rather than an individual also no automatic rifles in total war either
Instinct, since you're reading the thread - I would highly, highly recommend letting exclusive testers continue to play the beta without preordering or resorting to workarounds.
The game is available for pre-order on Steam + free and giftable copy of Men of War + extended Open Beta access. Happy gaming! ;) [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] All exclusive testers can download the beta in the subscriber forums and continue to play without pre-order.

Good luck with the launch :)
It's not a workaround, there is separate installer version requiring no steam, just check the announcements.

Gosh, how to change my avatar!?
Control Panel (spanner next to your name in the top right corner) > My Settings > My Avatar. [del]I bet at least 10 people have already posted this by the time I click the reply button.[/del] Seems not. [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] Now I have to choose between Killzone 3 and this. Killzone 3 can go to hell.
It's "closed", open for those who own MOW:AS.
Pros - Fun Cons - :vomit: graphics
