Pfft, real men use assault squads with no AT rifles or guns.
yes [editline]15th February 2011[/editline] in DCG I play russia vs germany in dec 1943 and all i had were three fresh rifle squads (and if you play dcg you know your russian newbie riflemen pioneer guys get like one magazine worth of backup ammo) and it turns out i was fighting off like an entire panzer division long story short i managed to steal two 88mm flak guns and secure the town square and fire over the waterworks to take out spotted armor good times.
Why should I buy this if I have CoH?
Why should I buy this if I have CoH?
they're both entirely different games with entirely different gameplay for starters I'd say you'd be good if you had both but it's about impossible to choose one over the other because they just can't be related at all other than "ww2 rts"
Also what's DCG?
Why should I buy this if I have CoH?
"Why should I buy ArmA2 if I have Bad Company 2?" "Why should I buy Red Orchestra, if I have COD: WAW?"
Also what's DCG?
dynamic campaign generator it's pretty much a must have if you want to have a baller mow experience past the campaign
"Why should I buy ArmA2 if I have Bad Company 2?" "Why should I buy Red Orchestra, if I have COD: WAW?"
These are all good questions, I would say "Don't buy" Hmmmm that's an interesting tool [editline]15th February 2011[/editline] Another question: Does DCG work with the Steam MoW?
[editline]15th February 2011[/editline] Another question: Does DCG work with the Steam MoW?
it does!
You chaps make a compelling case to pruchase this... btw: pruchase is troll speak for purchase
There is lots of MEN! In war, World War 2 to be precise.
You chaps make a compelling case to pruchase this... btw: pruchase is troll speak for purchase
It's a CoH with more realism less arcade action (you can't beat a tank with machineguns) and shitloads of micro if you want to.
The .50 cal goes right though the rear of the Hetzer.
The .50 cal goes right though the rear of the Hetzer.
It's a .50 Cal against the back of a Hetzer. The Hetzer isn't exactly top-grade equipment.
The .50 cal goes right though the rear of the Hetzer.
There aren't any infantry carried .50 cals unless you take one from a vehicle though But yeah light tanks might die to it, but not to a MG-42
In GSM I love driving around with one of those mobile AA's with overpowered guns, shooting everything.
The .50 cal is so powerful in vanilla multiplayer, I mean nearly every US tank has one, and it renders them invincible from light vehicle flanks when one is manned.
In GSM I love driving around with one of those mobile AA's with overpowered guns, shooting everything.
The M16 is funny. And the M19 is completely hilarious.
The .50 cal goes right though the rear of the Hetzer.
A Hetzer is a big gun strapped to a tin can and a .50 Cal is a damned powerful machine gun, especially for WW2.
Well seems the .50 should only be able to penetrate it when it's up its ass at 10m or closer, or it should anyway... They should get rid of the 'Hull damaged' shit unless it actually is damaged, not a little tap... Instead it should implement more of a crew death or mobility kill like damaged engine and jammed turret.
They nerfed the shit out of the 50.cal in AS, but light vehicles also seem to be pretty useless at flanking and destroying other tanks these days also. The puma is crap now, it can't tow guns, and the greyhound can be confused by small arms, and you can decrew it by just shooting at the 50.cal that the AI constantly insists on manning even though the last 2 guys to go up there got their heads blown off.
the greyhound can be confused by small arms
Did they change it to "confused" in MoW:ASS? Because in the regular MoW it was "contused".
I guess now they are actually disorientated rather than crying over some bruises. Or maybe it's just yet another spelling mistake.
Ok, you fancy fuckers. I'm convinced. 2 squads of Brit infantry and the biggest fucking AT gun I can come by initially. I'll steal my other equipment, at least for the first couple battles.
It's priceless when you've had to barely survive with two squads and a mortar for most of the operation, and then you manage to capture a königstiger.
The .50 cal goes right though the rear of the Hetzer.
The whole point of the hetzer is to have a compact vehicle with a big gun and ridiculous front armor, if you can flank a hetzer, the enemy aren't using it properly.
So I checked out the demo, all you kids talkin' about realism is complete hogwash :D I just took 6 guys to hell and back. Well only one made it back. Long story short I loaded up a tank and rolled through everything. Didn't have any working artillery to attack ze germans w/e fuck artillery, I'll roll up with my tank. Oh shit an armored car took out a tread... Fuck I'm getting ping'd to death by anti-tank guns. Like 60 german casualties later I've got one guy chillin' in the tank, three guys running around trying to kite / kill d00ds, when I'm forced to bail (no main gun what hacks). My lieutenant guy gets wtfpwned and I've got one guy who swims across a river to get back to the start of the level. Do I give up? Hell no. I've got something they don't, hordes of bodies to loot. I load up with a machine gun an SMG and more ammo than I know what to do with. Roll up a bunch of med packs and start pickin' off some guys. I crawl up to an armored car, lob a grenade and watch the fire works while high tailing it the fuck out of there. Then a real panzer comes and I'm like well fuck me... Since I discovered there was one peice of artillery but DERP takes two guys to drag it... fuck. Then something magical happened. There was a truck. Which let me drag it to the river. Which let me take out the panzer. Then it was back to sneaking around shooting german fucks and hiding in grass like a pussy. I run up to another vehicle, toss a grenade and run my ass off. This time shit gets aggro and two armored cars pull up. No big deal, I roll up to my artillery and fire some "HEY SHITHEADS LOOKY-HERE" shots to get things going. I get the first armored car and nick the second, when a god damn PANZER comes barreling down the hill. No big deal though I shoot it's hull twice, then give the turret a little love tap and BAM no main gun. The next shot breaches the hull and dudes spill out on fire ROTFLOL!!! but shit tons of dudes swarm me so I ditch the artillery and duck into a trench to spray and pray some nazis to kingdom come. Then the tank lights up and explodes ftw. Like literally. For the win. Mission complete. Fucking god awful shitty voice acting and all. TL:DR I bought the sequel since the free prequel means I GET TO ENJOY TWO :krad2: GAMES. :bandwagon:
I would buy fucking everything if my stupid ass credit card company would stop blocking my buying attempts on steam verdammt
I would buy fucking everything if my stupid ass credit card company would stop blocking my buying attempts on steam verdammt
Hmmmm... maybe stop trying to buy everything? I mean yeah a massive purchase such as the entire steam catalog will raise some red flags just at the order amount...
So I checked out the demo, all you kids talkin' about realism is complete hogwash :D
Most realistic RTS on the market other than Theatre of War, which isnt anywhere near as fun.

I don't think it should just be about what angle the shell hits at and how much armor there is. That's just dumb. I think there should be realistic crew deaths, as apposed to requiring the shell to hit their hitbox. Instead of penetrating the very front track cover and destroying the entire tank. It'd be much, much cooler.
