Yeah with the "downloadable content" tab in the menu and all.
Yikes. The skirmish maps are pretty much impossible (at least for me) in singleplayer. It's ridiculous trying to manage an attack on one front while keeping a defense up on another one.
Play Russians/Japs, use FtM/Banzai, instant force multiplier
BUT THE EDITOR PROFAN.
THAT SEXY SEXY EDITOR!

The features i saw in the videos were nowhere to be found :saddowns:
then i went back to mow
Predicting MoW:V is just going to be Pacific Assets recycled now.
Maybe a couple new. And North African solid buildings, like they used for Manchuria in AS.
That tractor factory in Manchuria SCREAMS USSR, but isn't IN the USSR. I was outraged.
About to rape Firefly in the side with an Elefant, randomly disconnect.
a+ netcode dms would network again
Joined a 5 v 5 online game earlier. Soviets vs. Japanese. Bad things happen when two opposing teams use charge and banzai at roughly the same time when there are as many machine guns set up as there were in our game.

Oh, and to the nay-sayers: MoW:V will have co-op
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/mowv2.jpg[/img_thumb]
Yeah but I want real multiplayer. You know, me versus you type thing. That would be seriously awesome. I still don't see why they can't do that.

Is there doubt that there isn't going to be PvP in Vietnam? Because that would seriously disappoint me.

Well initially it was said there would be no multiplayer. Then they announced Co-Op which is certainly better than nothing, but playing against the AI is nowhere near as fun as player versus player.
I'm sure there will be mods. They probably won't be widely played but its better than nothing.

In my opinion it's the opposite, but then again I buy games for singleplayer.
I'd pay for a new game with working AI for once.
The AI has always been very heavily scripted. The 'AI' in it's rawest form is in the editor, which is effectively "If there are weapons discharged within [X] distance, run towards it and engage"

They're adding helicopters, so at least we know there's one thing that'll be completely new.
I'm sure I saw some preview video thing for Assault Squad which mentioned some forest tool in the editor to reduce workload by an absolute shit ton.
Does it exist (I can't find one) or was I imagining it?

I really really hope the next sequel adds actual AI or something.
They should have done that in Assault Squad. Besides making the game look a bit better, changing up some things and adding very scripted missions, it's the same as MoW.
I started a new German campaign on the Western front. I distinguished myself in my first set of missions, and I'm now pitted against the British with 4 maps on either side. The only option is to attack the adjacent sector.

Fuck you, DCG.
I called in my air support and this happened:

You can see the Stuka pilot falling to his death. My first loss this campaign. And now I have to re-assault this beach. :smith:
As promised, I have started work on a Stalingrad map.
I get error code 51 when trying to start MoW (Not AS). I've tried validating files.

I hope you are kidding here...
enlighten us oh great instinct
take what's wrong and make it right
I wonder when they are going to enchance the stupid building fightings, the infantry guys just teleport to windows and so there won't be any cool building assaulting.
[editline]27th February 2011[/editline]
They should make it like in Commandos.
Gah the multiplayer is awful as soon as tanks are involved.
Just turns into "Who can get the most centurians"
still paper once you get Kwk/PaK 43s
Instinct;28325456']I hope you are kidding here...
Now I feel bad.
That's what it seems like when unscripted in the editor anyway. Not ingame.

Why aren't you playing with standard settings? If you play on custom setting servers, don't be surprised that you end up with heavy tanks only.
Generally, heavy tanks means a compromise of infantry support. Also, you might be facing players who coordinated into getting a centurion each. That what we do with the Black Princes, 3 of them on the field while it means no more hero points, we usually can keep all Princes which in turn wins a game or force the game into a stalemate if we were originally losing.

Don't play high resources...
Does anyone else like Infantry Only games?
