I sideshotted 2 super pershings with a Stug 4. Stuggie gonna stug.
StuGs are the best
What is the weak point of a StuG's frontal armor.
I killed a Jagdpanther, two Panthers, a Nashorn and a Panzerwerfer last night with a Comet in about 1 minute. Best flanking tank by far. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
What is the weak point of a StuG's frontal armor.
The flat bits
I sideshotted 2 super pershings with a Stug 4. Stuggie gonna stug.
obviously not counting the fact that the pershing's ammo rack is right on the side
Every installation comes with the editor, but I'll go try it now.
Can't recall getting the editor with the demo :/
Can't recall getting the editor with the demo :/
Oh, demo. Yeah that doesn't come with it.

They get a few things wrong but this is good listening for new players and veterans alike, and definitely worth a listen from anyone who is unsure if they want to buy the game. [editline]19th March 2011[/editline] Oh btw it focuses on Assault Squad mostly.
Does anyone know anything about this new Theatre of War game being released in a couple of days? http://store.steampowered.com/app/63960/
It's a very boring (But good looking and cool to take screenshots of) game where you watch tanks shoot each other with no real control over anything, besides where they move and what other tank to fire at. Well, the second one was anyway.
Yeah I tried the demo of the second game, and as much as I thought i would enjoy it I didn't. The scale of the battlefield is just too big. I'm usually a fan of more realism, but in this case, having a guy shoot another guy 400m away isn't exactly exciting gameplay. Perhaps it's unfair to judge by the demo, but if the battles had thousands of troops I'd totally reconsider.

Would you say Theatre of War is better or worse than Codename:Panzers?
Did the update just fuck up all my save games? >:( wtf - apparently all you have to do is edit the save file data, way to go devs.
Last time I checked, most tanks only had firing ranges of up to 150. the only thing I know of that can fire 300+m is either artillery or a sniper.
That's even worse than MoW, Tiger I's (in real life) were known to knock out enemy tanks at ranges of 4,000 meters.
Instinct;28967978'][img_thumb]http://funkyimg.com/u2/908/056/Stug-III.jpg[/img_thumb]
No hotlinking. I thought you'd be one to know that :v: Also why does this post say "3rd April 2011" when it was posted just now... Oh what it's below me now the end is nigh.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/shattered-lands This is one mod to look forward too. Oh and finally someone has started work on a WH40k mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/men-of-warhammer Check the videos, it looks pretty awesome.
Would you say Theatre of War is better or worse than Codename:Panzers?
They're not even comparable. Also, "Dynamic campaign generator" is another pretty damned good mod. I wish they'd add the french though.
Instinct;28967978'][img_thumb]http://funkyimg.com/u2/908/056/Stug-III.jpg[/img_thumb]
Instinct? On facepunch?
obviously not counting the fact that the pershing's ammo rack is right on the side
Everyone's is. They're usually either on the left side or right side of the turret, directly under the turret ring. I usually count 3 wheels on german tanks and fire above the third. British and russian are more complicated.
Men Of War with dynamic campaign is shitting awesome.
I'd love to play as the Polish in DCG. Yes, I'm a masochist.
Men Of War with dynamic campaign is shitting awesome.
It's true, but i always find it too easy, and the terribad AI doesn't help. Most of the time they just sit there, waiting for you to pick them off one by one.
Would anyone say paying that much for Assault squad is worth it?
Would anyone say paying that much for Assault squad is worth it?
yes much better quality MP than MoW original
yes much better quality MP than MoW original
How so? :)
only 10% of servers are TANKS ONLY NO TNT OR KICK compared to the 90% of original MoW
Still £24.99 is a lot to ask for what looks to me just like a small mod/ a little content... How are the campaigns?
Still £24.99 is a lot to ask for what looks to me just like a small mod/ a little content... How are the campaigns?
Skirmish is the only campaign, per se. They get somewhat boring after the 2nd or 3rd because it's always the same shit, just different textures. The multiplayer is fun, but it's just lacking anything thats new, especially for the steep price of £24.99! I wouldn't suggest buying it to be fair, i didn't enjoy it more then i would have enjoyed an eight of some good weed. That's just my opinion anyway, check out some videos and try the demo to decide your self mate. If you buy it we should have a game some time!

Thanks!
