Would using a trainer to beat a DCG mission have any consequence with steam? They have about 20 bloody tanks and 2 aircraft versus my 2 panzers and 16 infantry
and you can't take them down ? i had 2 AT guns and 1 light tank againt 50 and i won :) it's all about choke points and utilizing captured assets ;)
DCG is bugged and pits you against impossible odds. And some players are like that. (Not me)
Just bought Assault Squad. I've been waiting for it to go on sale.
Interesting, I might pick up Assault Squad. I played the original MoW back when it came out at a friends house. It was very difficult and very fun.
God damn MoW singleplayer is fun? Do you guys play with the fog of war? I play with the realistic fog of war.
Does anyone know how to use the radio controlled mines?
With a radio :v:
...Except that using the radio, both in direct control and by ordering a unit to do it does nothing.
...Except that using the radio, both in direct control and by ordering a unit to do it does nothing.
They're scripted like many other things.
Defending against counter attacks on 2-3 fronts simultaneously in MoW:AS's skirmish really becomes a fucking chore after a while. It gets to the point where you literally don't have enough time to control each individual push, and if you push to far with a single side you get flanked and the tanks you'll be unlocking won't match the tanks the enemy will (pushed 2 cap points past the other two on the first soviet mission and suddenly my T-34/76s are up against Panthers.) It just turns into "have slight amount of success with one side, realize another side had an enemy armor fuck it up. Ughhhhhh"
mines proved extremely useful against overhelming attacks ... then captured vehicles ....
mines proved extremely useful against overhelming attacks ... then captured vehicles ....
The catch is that you'd have to get the mines far enough into enemy controlled ground that the approaching tanks couldn't support the attacking infantry effectively
all i need is one or two tanks loose tracks and rotate, capturing is piece of cake, then the fun starts and rest of pie is mine :)
and you can't take them down ? i had 2 AT guns and 1 light tank againt 50 and i won :) it's all about choke points and utilizing captured assets ;)
Believe me, I'm using a Panzer II and a Panzer IIIG against a mass of T34/85s in a map that's mostly open ground. They're not the main problem though, I can deal with my tanks getting blown to shit but I value my infantry, who with a lot of buggery and micromanagement could eventually beat them. The aircraft however just tear them and everything apart.

It's actually really fun, and i'd be up to doing some campaigns with you if you're interested. Anyone who'd be interested in playing some Assault Squad PM me with SF info and we can do some campaigns or versus matches or whatever.
tried it once, fuck you randomly dividing units among players
tried it once, fuck you randomly dividing units among players
You can give units to other players you know. d;
yes but what I'd like is a split MP pool for each player and each player actually getting what they order
yes but what I'd like is a split MP pool for each player and each player actually getting what they order
Dunno, never had a problem with it myself. Unless you're playing with a bunch of greedy fags that don't know how to work as a team i've never had trouble with people just running a request for something over the chat and if no one else is on the verge of being overrun we just give em what they need depending on the situation. And it's really not that hard to give people what they order if they ask for it haha

I hate it too, I don't know why devs couldn't just make it an option and leave it on by default.
Ughhhhhh I don't understand what compels the AI to do what it does. Sometimes it's fucking rad and gets shit done, other times I don't even know what kind of logic it could be acting upon. Infantry is just generally fucking retarded, so I don't know if I want to even go there, but tanks. I don't understand. I get an elite tiger and I want it to hold its fucking fire because I have an PzIII with HE loaded for infantry and its MG42s as well, but the PzIII refuses to open fire without me telling it to and the Tiger just happily wasted away all of its 88 shells. Then I'll have a Stug guarding a street from Shermans, and it just kinda said "nope" and refused to fire. Or a wirbelwind that just didn't fucking work, it would attempt to spam shells at an M8 greyhound but the infantry rushing towards it, just kinda said "nope" again and let them keep on running. Or infantry that are getting fired at (riflemen, not MGs, so it wasn't a problem with the person holding his gun at his hip) that refuse to fire back when simply told to and require me to go into fucking direct control just to get the fucker to shoot at someone who's practically shooting down my guys' barrel, if he isn't dead by then. [editline]11th May 2011[/editline] Or a fucking riflemen that's getting shot at because he took the wrong side of cover just kinda sits there, usually not even firing back. And why the dick do soldiers take cover from grenades by just hunching their back slightly. Why do I have to babysit them and tell them that they should run away from grenades.
I really wish they'd make infantry at least move when there's a grenade under their feet. There's an explosive below your feet PUTTING YOUR HANDS OVER YOUR HEAD WILL NOT HELP. Sometimes they dive away, which doesn't really help but it's better than nothing. Other times they just cover their heads...
and you can't take them down ? i had 2 AT guns and 1 light tank againt 50 and i won :) it's all about choke points and utilizing captured assets ;)
I have a stugIIIG, some 45mm russian atgun and russian jeep against 3 IS2's and IL2. gonna try beating it again. so far I haven't lost a single man in the campaign but fuck this is tedious. My guns can't do anything but detrack.
Best way to capture tanks is to destroy their turret, since then the crew exits. Once in Red Tide I shot a Romanian light tank track, waited for a dude to exit, shot him from the bushes from five miles away with an AT rifle, repeated until they were all dead. Then I found out that there weren't any repair kits in the map. Well, at least I had a swinging turret.
Would using a trainer to beat a DCG mission have any consequence with steam? also for dcg invest in howitzers and some protection. Once you have like 3-4 howtizers you rape pmuch everything ever made by anything ever.
My DCG got alot less impossible after I started buying ATguns with coaxmg's.
[del]Where do I get DCG for MoW:AS? Or does it not exist.[/del] Aight nevermind I found it. [editline]13th May 2011[/editline] You know what. Fuck it. I'm sick of DCG being a little dickhole and not working. Probably have more fun playing skirmish anyway. [editline]13th May 2011[/editline] And why do I have to re-enter my CD-key every single time I want to log in.
