Easily.
Instinct;31205687']I'm not sure, but I believe not. It's very time consuming to balance maps for FFA while this mode is played once out of 500 or more games.
Which is correct, but the consumer also demands the same thing over and over again, otherwise there would be no sense in buying a sequel. This is the same with Command & Conquer, Dawn of War, Total War, Star Craft etc.
I do agree though that the game should focus on less, instead of having a bazillion of features of which many don't really fill a purpose and draw attention and time away from the bigger picture. 1C is the owner of the franchise, if we were to disagree with them, we'd need to make a game that's not called MoW, but it can be essentially the same. However, I'm certain 1C and I agree on the direction the game should head for and they also need someone to do the game in first place. Since Assault Squad was a definite success it's a logical step to continue working with us. In case of the engine, they have been supportive in changing it for possible sequels.
In my personal eyes, anything beyond MoW:AS requires a major re-haul to become a really good product. So you can be assured, if we continue the franchise, you will definitely find a lot of change to the game.
Awesome. I love the series to death, and you're right sequels need to be similar enough so that fans will buy and enjoy the game. I think I've just gone through some series fatigue. I'm glad you guys are open to the ideas of changing the series around.

You'll be fine. It's not ridiculously intensive on most settings, and it's primarily CPU heavy. I think you'll be most restricted by the graphics, but I don't have any doubt in my mind that you can run the game.
thanks! do you think i can run it on high settings maybe?
thanks! do you think i can run it on high settings maybe?
You could probably run everything on High/Ultra.
I'd say that's a good price difference. Normally the Sherman wins against the ausf g head to head, and it also has the advantage of having a .50 cal on top.
eh i guess
This game made me realize how much I want to play missions or multiplayer games set in the 1939-1942 era. The tank and infantry warfare of the the early war seems significantly less irritating than the 10000mm armor vs. 10000mm cannon warfare of the late war.

You'll be able to run it at the highest settings no problem, but in MP you'll still get the odd combination of lag/stuttering that MoW (and Ass squad) likes to give everyone, regardless of their computer.
Anyone up for some skirmish? I'm bored as hell.

2v2>skirmish anyday.
Town
WORLDS buggiest crashiest map
crashed 3 times between me and mbbird hosting 4 vs 4s on it
[editline]20th July 2011[/editline]
and then it crashed for teh 4th person in our game on a different map
IT KEEPS HAPENING
Why is it that we're trying to play with 4 different people and even with my GTX 580, i5 750, and 4 GBs of RAM it'll randomly get 2 FPS every once in a while for 5 minutes straight, then suddenly fix itself. Or it'll crash to desktop while nothing is happening. Or 1/3 games someone will CTD. I mean god fucking damnit, this is the single worst optimized, unstable game I've ever played in my entire life.
and then it crashed again on a 2 vs 2
screw dis
We had at least 6 crashes today, never finishing a single game without crashing 5-10 minutes in if not immediately after the game starts or while loading.
fun

I haven't heard of anyone crashing that much in MoW, maybe ask about it on the official support forums or something?

They've added new maps in patches as well. Also map designers need to eat...

Since when have they needed to eat?
i want maps from faces of war and men of war for more variety
i want maps from faces of war and men of war for more variety
Then port them? It's not hard.

So way back when say one game ago when they didn't have dlc they weren't eating?
I mean i wouldn't mind if they made a expansion dlc that added other stuff than just maps... Cause they had their first map dlc which was ship now some this? Why couldn't they wait till they had a bunch of stuff???

They've already stated that they don't want to release units or factions as DLC, only maps. And I don't see why you are complaining about getting more things, from your post it seems like you want to wait and pay $20 for more things instead of paying the same amount over a longer time period.
The maps are like $1 each anyway, which is nothing.
Then port them? It's not hard.
Except practically no-one in MP uses mods or would even bother to get the mappack.
wait, there is a new map pack out or we still have the pack from steam summer deal?
