This whole list is bullshit. I mean, for starters DA2 got nominated for best RPG (I mean, it's a decent game and all), and the only reason I can think for that is that maybe there weren't enough RPGs out this year or something, not to mention MW3 getting best FPS when there's so much better to be had. Plus a Java game beating Bastion of all things.
Can we never have a reasonable GOTY list? Not once?
I'm kind of disappointed that Terraria was apparently not even considered for best downloadable game. I also feel that Saints Row The Third should have at least been nominated for something positive. Then again, its just one of many "Best Of The Year" lists after all.

Minecraft isn't really innovative either but it's the best on that list.

Its graphics are shit, the hud is almost exactly the same as MW2, unbalanced, kill/deathstreaks, and no vehicles.
Comparing BF3 to BC2 tons have changed. Graphics are better, Hud has a few similarities but has some differences as well, usually balanced and if not they patch it, no kill/deathstreaks other than some extra EXP for coming out of a death streak (no super sprint for 5 seconds after spawning after 5 deaths in BF3) and tons of vehicles, and massive map scale.
