GameTrailers Game of the Year Awards 2011 - Games

Inside Gaming seems to have the most sensible awards in my experiences. (Sorry for the Pagestretch) [img]http://i53.tinypic.com/xnymnn.png[/img] I agree with almost all of these.

Battlefield 3 and MW3 both were dissapointing imo.

MW3 came out for the wii? surprised they didn't select that for best wii game, seeing all the people making this list are a bunch of idiot fanboys.

tbh bf3 graphics aren't really great Starting from the basics = water is complete shit - flat, no reflections. Then we have amazing LoD - pick a 12x ballistic scope and look at all the buildings from 200-500 meters away. Overdone effects like LENS FLARE. Terrible color correction (Metro is blue as fuck, Wake Island removes all the goddamn colors). Huge amounts of unpolished stuff - blue fences explode into orange bits, bags not properly attached to tank skirt (no idea how this thing on tank's side is called - [img]http://i.imgur.com/TTHrS.png[/img] , so I'm going with this). Bipod weapons not aiming correctly, collision models being bigger than models, cubemaps fucking suck and hurt your eyes (Bank mission for example). On bazaar, first building near the first point in front of ruskies spawn - sure thing that water flowing down the walls is good. BAD THING WATER GOES UP ON OTHER ONES. When you enter a building, rain suddenly stops raining on the whole map. ufhh

Professor Leyton? PROFESSOR LEYTON? This upsets me more than any of the winners I disagree with.

At least they realized that MW3 wasn't as bad as BF3.

Nice to see that Dark Souls won best RPG and not Skyrim.

How was Dead Island not even nominated for best IP? I actually thought it was better than all those games nominated.

Who was expecting a good game with Duke Nukem: Forever. Oh, that's right, NO ONE! Why is Minecraft "Best Downloadable Game" when it's delivered only half of it's features for a full release? If anything, this should be a nomination for "Most Dissapointing". Crysis 2 should have won for "Best Graphics" Oh wait, look who i'm talking about, GameTrailers. Stop existing already.

Because using blocks to create a bigger, hollow block is considered "innovative" Yeah, good going GT.

Gameplay wasn't really fun at all and the only time I see people praising it, it's about how hard the game is like being really difficult is all it takes to make a game fun.

I'm not even going to bother following this because I'll just rage. Just saw Best Graphics and Best Music and neither was won by TW2 so fuck this.
