It has been raining for 10 days non-stop here in Sao Paulo, FYI
But in Video game land there's no rain below the equator and nothing but rain and clouds above it.
Sao Paulo may not fit in the noir look that the two games have, but it does have the darker and edgier look present on the games, especially at night, a raining night at that.
No matter if they delay this, I want to see how well Rockstar can capture the look of my city. I'm a fan of the series, so I'll reserve any judgment until I see any new gameplay footage.
I still say Rockstar is redoing MP3. Why else would they delay it for 2 years? Only other explanation is they cancelled, and they would definitely not do that; it would be a waste of money and a waste of a license.
Hard to have faith in a movie that casts a black man as an originally white man.
I still haven't seen it and I'm honestly not planning to. The trailer just put me off so fucking much.
If you ask me, the movie was actually decent if you didn't think of it as Max Payne.
As an adaptation, it sucked. As just any other movie, it was pretty enjoyable.
That principle works with a lot of video game movies, hamberglar.
Except Hitman.
That is what I said to be hopeful about restarting the game over. As I said, it has been done before.

Max left NY apparently because it reminded him too much about the death of his family + [sp]Mona[/sp]
[sp]Mona's alive[/sp]

Obviously, but it's not 'noir' for it to be raining in Brazil.
Obviously, but it's not 'noir' for it to be raining in Brazil.
noir doesn't mean fucking rain
if you want noir, have muted colours, people musing about how insignificant life is, and shit-tons of smoke
if kurosawa can make an excellent noir in bombed out 1949 tokyo then i don't see how brazil has anything to do with anything at all
in fact they could rename it Americavile and you'd probably not even notice the difference
It was the most awful thought, "You're in a video game Max", someone was toying me around from a third person perspective.

Who said it did?
Max Payne - Developed in the best country in the world.

Wait, what?

Just because how dumb this sound. I'll inform you, you are very, very wrong.
THE ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN BASEBALL BAT BOY!
Fantastic series. Vinnie Gognitti was my favourite character.
"KILL HIM, FUCKIN' KILL HIM!" Such awesome dialog and voice acting in these games too. I swear I watched all of those mini episodes on the TVs like Lords and Ladies haha.
Too bad the third one looks terrible. Why are they setting it in Brazil and at day time? I love the film noir in a cold, stormy New York style of 1 and 2.

i thought i was the only one!
probably the most replayable game for me, i can never stop having fun with cinema mod and all those other crazy mods while shooting up the apartments. i loved watching the shows too, address unknown was awesome!

What, I'm a collector. You know how much this stuff is worth, I'll tell ya, fuckin' much
When is Max Payne 3 going out? I watched some trailer
and i seemed that Max had gotten fat..
Max Payne movie was awful!
Really looking forward playing max payne3 becose i've played
MP3 twice whole game!
I fucking loved these, I bought them both on steam for nostalgia's sake a while ago. For some reason I can't save in Max Payne 2 any more :smith:
Time to replay both Max Payne games. In his honour for fighting for truth, justice and stale faces.
I think that 1st max payne was way better than the second!
Time to replay both Max Payne games. In his honour for fighting for truth, justice and stale faces.
I loved every part of Max Payne 2 except the part where there were no baddies and the [SP]part where you defend Vinnie Gognitti in his Captain Baseball Bat Suit[/SP]
It's stupid to write off the third game without playing it. I'm not expecting it to be as good as MP2, but I'll have to see.
The movie however: IT DIDN'T HAPPEN! OKAY?!
Anywho, the number of people that call the game cliched. They always miss the point. It's supposed to be, so that when the labs and mercs appear it throws you off. The bunker at the end of Cold Steel caught me off guard the first time I played it, believe me!

the people who call this game cliched get what the game was going for
max payne is totally tongue-in-cheek all the way, but even then it still has an emotional impact
a proper "art-game"

I hated how slow he walked and bitched all the time. I felt so sad for Max when [SP]Mona "died" again at the end. I thought she died for real and started crying ;_;[/SP]
Is there any fix for the widescreen issue? You can't set the resolution to anything other than a 4:3 aspect ratio. :frown:

I don't think there is one, besides dealing with it.

He was still funny when he bitched
[SP]"They're coming over the wall! You gotta get me outta here. You hear that, you bastards? You're gonna die! You're gonna FUCKIN' DIE!"[/SP]
I just started Max Payne 2 for the first time. I may get a lot of flack for this, but I think the voice actor is over acting in this game.
