Meh, he's very challenging to learn after all, tried him yesterday, hard as fuck when against smart enemies. (Got kited to hell...)
Only reason I'd consider myself good with him is because he was all I played when I first joined. Friends told me to buy Infinity Edge and stack P.dancers and did that with him and Yi for who knows how long. I thought I was some sort of God.

You don't play supports in 3v3 you just gimp your team unless your nidalee.

When he spins to you you're going to grow some balls and look him dead in the eyes. If you timed it right his mocking shout won't slow you and it will help your chances of living MUCH better. However, he will still be a lot faster than you so it would be nice to have some stuns/slows on your team. Perhaps get a Zhonyas too if you're really close to dying so your team can clean their team while they try to focus you. Shurelias can also help if you need the extra speed boost to run away. Soraka is very screwed if she gets caught out of position due to her speed and the fact that she has no cc to stop an enemy from charging you or built-in escapes.
Good laning partners with Soraka are pretty much anyone who can be aggressive in a lane and requires the farm that you don't. A good one is Morde. He's very aggresive in a lane, his nuke + your infuse will most likely be a ghost. Once he gets Rylais he can slow anyone that tries to get close to you. Plus, Morde is one of the best for 3's.
Yeah, he doesn't use mana, but he's a good partner. Not saying he's the best, but a good one. I also chose him because how good he does in a 3's. I wouldn't choose Soraka in a 3 just because she can't do that much damage and as Dig said, it gimps the team. One of my favorites for 3's is Zilean solo top. He wrecks shit.

He's a better mid than most, but he can duo if need be.(Read: If you get matched with someone who wants mid so much they're willing to make the team lose just to have it.)

I'd probably go Vlad or Rumble in that case for 3's, I've played Rumble quite well in 3's not tried Vlad as I'm still iffy with him cause of his early game weakness.

Don't know what to think about this Galio "buff", projectile speed on Q might be nice, don't know how big of a difference it will be, I hope I can reliably hit fucking teemo now. The health at lvl 1 is nice but not that big of a deal, galio isn't made for getting/assisting first bloods. The rest is all useless / nerfs, less mana cost doesn't do much, Galio should always have a chalice of harmony to keep that QE spam up, 10 less mana cost won't do much. It's nice of them to increase the heal on bulwark, you might actually notice it now, though I use bulwark as an AP boost for myself/protection for my carries, I don't need the heal in either of these situations. And the damage reduction with idol of durand is meh, if you die because during your idol of durand your enemy team is too fed to come back into the game.
Galio's issue was his lategame(I mean 40mins+) teamfights, this was not fixed(actually nerfed, less armor at lvl 18, less AP on Q). In a teamfight projectile speed doesn't help too much cause people don't try to dodge Galio's Q so that doesn't make up for the AP reduction either.
