Right, but you can make that argument for any of the other champions as well. Exhaust makes tanky DPS skill reliant for ~5 seconds, which basically turns him into target practice with a team that knows what they're doing. Ignite negates a significant amount of healing, which makes Mundo do nothing ever and turns supports into much less useful champions. Stuns and roots are deadly, blind will rape champions who depend thoroughly on autoattacks, silence kills mages, etc.
My argument is that based ONLY on the abilities of the champion itself, Tryn is an annoying bastard.
But he's getting reworked, so we'll see what happens.

The rework is a buff according to the patch notes he also starts with more crit chance at level1 it 38% now.
But trynd's abilities are nothing without his autoattacks. He gains bloodlust with crits, his ult just make him survive long enough to kill, and his spin just lets him get in range.
His mocking shout is extreamly potent if you ask me -100ad pretty much fucks up anything that uses ad.
I think I might start playing Kayle a bit. I've always like her, she plays awkwardly and weird but somehow it's not bad.
What's the usual build order? Am I going for damage or attack speed? I'm guessing I want speed considering the Q bonus damage.

As Trynd, I just try to get past her/engage after she uses her 2 stuns.
Trynd isn't really that hard to play if you go by my "a$$hole teammate" rule, which for now I utilize only for Tryn and Nocturne.

The moment you arrive, your tank can just as well go to Caribbean cruise, cause if he ain't Shen and enemies don't stay in a perfect line for him, YOU will become the course of the day.
[B]2.[/B] Fight on your own terms. Enemies have perfect team composition ? It's made of assasins ? Or maybe it's 4 support 1 carry you are facing ? Decide how you will approach : Ganks only ; Teamfights only ; Only with Ultimate ; Only as an ambush, etc.
Yes, your team can whine as much as they want, but you are asshole, you don't want to be double-asshole, because enemy carry tore you a new one while Rammus flipped your champion off and proceeded to roll'. Just one thing to note here : Actually do fight. Not fighting is not being asshole, it's being "a particular word for cat".
[B]3.[/B] How big of an asshole you are ? The bigger, the better. Greed is a good fuel to being an ass, get it. Jungle camps ? Kill. Lane waves ? Kill. Steals ? Get two while you are at it. Your teammate tank/support/teemo is falling behind and needs that gold ? Who cares, you are an ass already, the more ass-ness, the merrier.
[B]4.[/B] A good asshole in team, is one that is asshole to enemies aswell. Be a menace, nightmare, don't come across as just some kid with a potty mouth. Witty responses, well laid ganks, enemies constantly missing both Lizard and Golem, creep count a digit ahead of everyone else. You want to become beacon of hate, so your presence causes something between "oh shit" and "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU", but remember, it will cause "KILL IT, WITH FIRE" as well.
[B]5.[/B] So you ran away couse enemies had Baron, both buffs and all your team had were Doran items. So they call you chicken or weirdly spelled "beach". So what ? Your Ass > Their ass, but a good counter to an ass is 5 enemies with Baron, there is no need for excuses because you wanted to sit another day. Still, don't try to get into arguments about whose team is dumber, just state what everyone should know by this moment :
You're an asshole.

TL;DR
1. Pick fights, don't try to get killed just because your team wants to fight right there and right now.
2. Make sure that if you do fight, you fight the way you want, where you want, with whatever items/skills you actually do want for this particular encounter (just don't overdo this part).
3. As this sort of champion, you need funds, lots of funds. Your team might fall behind, but champions like Tryndamere/Nocturne/Ashe have great scaling with items, thus Mundo getting his warmog slightly faster < your Infinity Edge.
4. Just make sure that all you do doesn't feel like "handicapping" your own team, rather abusing team's resources to punish enemies harder. Asking people to cover while stealing buffs or free farming nearby jungle if there is stalemate in the middle.
5. You are last in, first out (though that depends). You won't survive enemies for long, but they will not survive you neither. If you see that in any given situation your lifespan =/= at least 2-3 killed/heavily damaged opponents, give it up, even if team goes for it anyway. This is the hardest one to execute, because "I HAVE TO KILL SOMETHING" part of brain goes crazy sometimes, so don't worry if you kamikaze occasionally, in vidya, death happens.
