Purely tanky items.
He benefits quite nicely from AP (shield, Vorpal and Ultimate) so things like Rylai won't hurt if you are doing exceptionally well, as in if you are not me.
My Shen = worst Omen you can have in game :
I do well = I accidently steal too many kills (even without Q spam) and my carry ends up underfed.
I do bad = every taunt misses, every ult gets critical hits to face (even vs mages)
I do somewhat good = enemies get super-pushy and I get super-scared team

I build shen as i please i.e Mercs,Madreds,Trinity,FoN,Bvail,Randuin's = Threat and can tank same as always 200 200 resist, 3khp.
