The way i play Vayne i see my W as the ace in the sleeve, where you cant pull of that much damage against a Rammus with Tumble like to a Yi, you always know that you can melt even the tanks with your true damage.

Getting three bolts off in a team fight is moderately easier but that implies you're staying around for three bolts and Vayne is squishy as all hell. Her strongest point is chasing. As long as you're not retarded and make it so that they can chase you, congratulations you managed Vayne. Not saying that avoiding getting chased is always possible but really that sort of thing exponentially lessens the better you get at the game

I sometimes even go boots first to make sure of it. You can really shut down farming for them, just ward bushes too.
