Amumu has a 2.5 total AP ratio plus his Despair sustained, and how many AP amumus do you see?

He's not good AP, his base damage is too good to be used for AP. It's like Leona.

His AP burst is EXTREMELY lackluster.
If you think about it, his only nuke is his E, and his Q has an extremely low ratio, despite low-ish cooldown.
Without ult, AP skarner is useless.
more AP -> stronger shield -> longer MS and AS bonus
more AP -> bigger heal -> longer sustain

No, go Wriggle's Triforce tank.
His AP burst is lackluster, and 75 AP won't really add much to skarner's damage.
Would be OP if it was any longer. Drag mid from their tower to your tower.

What are you gonna do with AS in AP?
You're not gonna heal much more with a 0.3 ratio...
And AP skarner only has one 240(+0.7AP) nuke outside of ulti. Without ulti, his burst is terrible, since it's essentially 320(+1.1AP)...

Skarner's skills are more conducive to an ad build. His CDs go down when you autoattack, remember.
You'll be ignorable, since you won't be able to burst, and a 80(+0.4AP) per 2.5 seconds is terrible lategame. Base damage is way too low.

Yeah, a 1.5 second surpress means around 600 units will be able to be covered during the duration.
Not really that great, considering Blitz's pull has 1000+ range...
