I think they should remove it, but to do so would radically affect gameplay. Many champs are dependent on it, (fiddles comes to mind) so it'd be a nightmare to balance everything out. I don't see it happening soon, if at all.

DotA 2 will probably have Kelen's Dagger too.
It works perfectly fine in DotA and HoN, and considering League is more casual I see no way in which it would be problematic.
If nothing else it'd be better because then you could have ghost, ignite, and flash.
Hell, if anything it'd teach people to be more careful instead of relying on flash to save their asses when they get in trouble.
