it's not overtly simplified as league is.
Also in DOTA you can pretty much 1v5 carry if you're a farmed carry and the other carry isn't as farmed as you.

LoL and Dota2 aren't that similar but yeah:
Unique heroes and spells (HURR DURR LET'S MAKE A CHAMPION WITH A SHIELD), better graphics, even more competitive (denying, tree cutting, losing gold when dying etc etc), better company, better gameplay and better everything.
I don't know, man. LoL is free, the developers are good, the graphics don't matter especially, and I like the lack of denying.

dominion looks really bad for a game like league. it would work better for a game like blc

you'll be surprised how many players who knows what they're doing will be playing simply because it isn't "casualized"
If League of Legends was competitively balanced I would stay with LoL until I got bored with mobas. But right now it seems like the only way you can win is to be super good at the game or pick an OP champ.
