Yeah, it does, but it's old and restricted in the WC3 engine which means you need to deal with no hotkeys unless configured by an outside program, multiple shops because of the symbol limit in the game itself, dealing with not having your hero selected all the time, specialized hosting programs so there is no lag, etc. It is still the most balanced and well put together game in the genre but I would rather play HoN, or even LoL, [I]simply due to the convenience factor.[/I]

And for being being cunts, it is a sad and well known factor that the NA DotA scene is the most volatile and terrible of any international selection. Even the "pros" are total drama whores (which is why no team was invited to The International).
With DotA2 removing the limitations the original had because of the Warcraft 3 engine, the game will retract its original crowd. HoN will probably die because of it. The idiots from League may try to play, they'll end up going back soon after.

How am I "thick" for expressing my opinions about something? DOTA being balanced, I can't comment, but I think LoL and HoN, due to them being full games, are much well put together. Like you said, because of its age. Its nothing special anymore.
What makes it special are the characters.
Put together well and LoL shouldn't be in the same sentence.

I've played too much WC3 to think that the same 20 models used as heroes are 'special'.
Some of the abilities are cool but they aren't as flashy, understandably so.
