As I said, personalise.
I usually manage to get my teammates to like me as Soraka, so I pick mejai if I see I can whore a lot of assists and that friendly rammus won't let anyone near me.
Though, for example, as Malzahar or Vlad I know I might be focused and because I am one of the factors to the rate of enemies dying I will not pick Mejai, as it'll likely backfire.
I never get Mejai's as Soraka.
I know 100% that when the enemy team notices how fucking boss I am in general, they'll just throw themselves at me to get that Mejai's stack.
Hell, they go for me in any case since I'm the boss fucking support, like a boss.
As you said, guides are just that, guides.
They're for your reference and are simply builds that work well with the character, not tailored for every situation. It's just for personal use for you to change and tweak, and they shouldn't dictate every item/rune/mastery you get.

In my experience you're normally okay with these if you start great and have at least 5 kills/assists by the 10 minute mark, you're generally only going to go higher from there and if it proves worthless you have some cash to sell it and get something else
I.e. mejais is for ability power, if you want ap you might first get the item building up to it and from there it's only 800 gold

body looks good but the background is BORING.
You should also try doing more dramatic or better looking poses to be honest.
this is the third one I make, obviously poses are not going to be omg so dramatic, I know they are kinda boring.

Since it's Rumble, you could add some sort of industrial or mechanical type background?

It all depends on how dota2 plays like. If it plays like a more complicated but balanced version of LoL, then I will switch.
If it's like 1v5 hyper carry heavy punishment for mistakes no items fox only final destination then no.

Hope they add a "casual" mode. I want to learn the game easily instead of getting fucked up hard every single game because Dota pros.

Well, I'd prefer to play the most competitive mode they can offer eventually, but I'm strongly against the concept of a 1v5 carry and epic denying. (Getting killed + denying creeps)
