Denying creeps is just an added skillcap to the game, the higher the skillcap the more exciting the game can be.
And you have to stop the carry, stuns in DOTA lasts 5 times as long as in LoL and you can be locked in until your entire team drops dead.
DOTA is just a much much harder game than LoL.
It will be the same as dota which is the same as hon which is no mercy when you do something wrong which sucks dick.
Harder by taking away some fun for the general gaming crowd maybe.
Pretty sure it's no fun at all to get demolished by a carry that can 1v5 your whole team just because they're either really good or your team has 1-2 bad players.

I was thinking of buying Lee Sin, but all the ones I ever played against are not only too squishy, they also can't do much damage at all. Maybe that's just me tho.

I predicted someone would say that. That doesn't solve anything. You're implying everyone has friends that are willing to play in the first place, not taking account if they're good or not. I for one don't know many really good LoL players to begin with (to the extent that they're all FPers), so finding people that aren't shithouse at dota2 would be even harder. But thats just me.

Lee sin is godly. I was jungling, went 2/5/14 (I did not take a single kill from lanes when I ganked, which is why our LeBlanc went 10/2), got atmogs and proceeded to solo baron to half health and then my team showed up and we took it. Tanked the rest of the turrets and won the game. In other words, get Lee Sin.
