What confuses me about this thread is all the people say they like Dota 2 more than LoL and since thats going to be pretty much the same as dota which is the same as HoN then why the fuck aren't these people in the HoN thread?

Even if everything else in LoL was shit, that feature makes the minimap so much easier to watch.

I'm just gonna wait for DoTA 2 to be released before I say anything. I can't even count how many games I thought were going to be awesome but failed horribly, and the opposite also happens a lot.

You guys seriously don't know what an artstyle is?

LOL the DoTA 2 graphics are so fucking easy on the eyes and every thing is really contrasted and quite distinct, more so than LoL.

But it is. (Good hands is far better)

I wouldn't say dota2's artstyle is shit but certainly not everyone's cup of tea

Champion designs are simple, buffs are simply visualized and creeps/map are somewhat like background rather than arena. In Dota/2/HoN everything is "together" in terms of design, heroes, creeps, arena, they all fit together nicely, but it might be hard to focus on something particular. Simplified : LoL looks like white shapes on confetti. HoN/Dota/2 look like white shapes on white background. (still distinguishable by borders and shadow, but less than on a confetti) This said, Dota 2 looks decent and fun. I guess people will either choose MOBA that fits them the best skill/art/fun-wise or play several.

Is Tempest HoN's Enigma port?

Heroes contrast so well to the environment, better than LoL and WAY better than HoN.

I agree, but I can easily tell heroes from terrain and creeps. Sure they aren't sticking out like sore thumbs, but they are pretty distinguishable.

I think if you're getting confused between what is a hero, and what is a creep in the dota 2 stream you need to see an optician, not talk about artstyle.
