2. I've been playing lol for quite a bit of time now, too lazy to move to HoN now.
3. graphics are better in LoL tbh, I prefer simple stuff to super complicated shit that new people can't understand.

How do you want to have a friendly discussion when you start by stating that one game is superior to other ?
Sequels, we can state that those are superior or inferior to their predecessors, but we have 2 different MOBA F2P games there, HoN and LoL, both offering different enviroment, level of play, etc.
It's like coming into Battlefield forum and asking people why they won't switch to CoD, or Minecraft and telling them that Terraria is better.
Same genre =/= same game

Survivability is always a good thing. What happens in a team fight when their Xin comes running full speed at you (After you have blown your ult) and starts pooping on you? That Rylai's could save you just from the extra health.
As far as the slow, it's really strong with Cass. The slow skill she already has is slow and hard to hit, not to mention it has a fairly long cooldown. Since you can pretty much spam q and e, it'll be like a perma slow. The Q is also much easier to hit than W.
Rylai's is awesome on Cass. It's not just about that passive, either. The stats are awesome, and you are just being ignorant by thinking otherwise.

Once DOTA2 comes out i'll be moving to that, but I don't want to learn a whole set of spells/heroes/items for HON just to move on again in a month.

HoN is a straight dota clone with all of the difficulty and imo because of the much harsher difficulty causes the community to be worse, whereas LoL makes the game simpler and you don't have to be a hardcore dota fan to be able to have fun on it.
HoN's graphic style is more detailed but seriously it's like comparing Battlefield to Tf2, LoL has a nice cartoon effect to it but the characters still have a good amount of detail although effects do look nicer on HoN
HoN is probably more balanced and also is obviously going to have a higher skill ceiling due to the difficulty but just because it is harder to play and more balanced it doesn't mean it's the better game, take two survival sandboxes for example Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft, DF is far more detailed and has much more to do but minecrafts simplicity just make it the better game regardless of graphical quality
Let's not forget the last point that HoN is going to be destroyed by DotA 2 because of how similar it is so it's not such a great time to even get into HoN (Unless you're training for dota 2)

My apologies, reading a manual on diving there and trying to glimpse as quickly as possible through forums.
I personally find HoN and LoL different. HoN is closer to old Dota, which I did try sometimes while playing Warcraft III, and all I was left with were bad memories of people being hostile to anyone who is even slightly "green". I've been thrown off by Moba genre for a while because of it, Demigod demo didn't change anything.
Then I stumbled across League of Legends, with simplified gameplay, clear graphics and no price tag. "Baby's first Dota" I thought so I gave it a shot, since I was hoping to find enviroment where one can try the genre without getting covered in shit thrown by "pro" monkies.
It worked, I liked it, followed it and now I am here with a couple of skins bought.
I gave HoN chance when it went temporarily free and I had deja vu. Hostility, high learning curve,etc.
I guess that if I wanted more challenging MOBA I would switch to HoN, but now with Dota 2 coming under Valve's flag it seems pointless.
Dota 2 will be new "hardcore" MOBA king and League of Legends will likely stay on the casual throne.

LoL ain't superior, but simple enough that it let me try MOBA without getting hurt.
HoN reminded me too much of Dota.
HoN is much less forgiving, that's why i stick with LoL
