The person in mid is normally the person who can help at higher levels a lot easier because you earn more experience and cash in a solo lane
When someone jungles then you have 2 solo lanes and 1 guy (who if he's very good) will have loads of gold and levels quickly too
So you basically have 3 people at level 6 with a good amount of gold when they've only got 1

oh and the other reason people jungle is cause no one can call ss and be super cautious of ganks because nobody knows where the jungler is

I never actually tried to jungle in a normal/ranked game. I'm always afraid that the enemy team will have a better jungler, that I'll be ganked, or that I'll misclick and get killed by the creeps.
I think I'll try it with Nocturne or Nunu today.

It's really only the first few creeps you attack you need to worry about, if you're playing with someone with fast mana usage get the guys on bottom lane to leash the blue buff for you so you can take it first
edit: if you're playing bottom left team that'd be top lane oops

Would you recommend starting at the small golems? In vs AI it just seemed to make my jungle route faster and you also won't get ganked.

I love how 3-4 enemies can chase you across half the map, from full hp to around ½ just to try to get me killed.

I usually start with golems as it's safer. Just my style I suppose.
