It's not best.
Deathcap is best for Casters.
Triforce is best for AD/casters or Tanky DPS
etc.

Problem with Hybrid Kogmaw is that you dont add that much damage to your spells (100 AP isn't that much considering your ratios) and you get add that much DPS (going straight AD doesn't give that great DPS). It's best to go pure AP or pure DPS.

I build him AD. Wouldn't recommend hybrid.

Is there any downsides of having Cho'Gath's Vorpal Spikes on toggle?
Why not just make it a passive like Teemo's Poison dart.

i usually toggle them off while attacking a tower so i the spikes doesn't hit a champ and i get tower agro
only time i toggle them off tho

Ninja Tabi, Rageblade, Sheen, Gunblade and Rylai is quite a lot of HP when you think about it, not a lot of champions get health from gaining AD or AP.
