I'm an experienced Nocturne player, but I'm also a terrible Nocturne player. When I'm doing well I forget to buy defensive items and the enemy team rapes me. I always get merc's treads tho.
But yes, brutalizer, banshees, and I think that any of the items built from the Benjamin Franklin sword work well. When the enemy team is feeding a lot, I go for Zeal, then later PD. I'm really unexperienced with jungle noc, in fact, I'm gonna play my first normal game jungling with him now.
But honestly, I don't care if I do good or bad in a match with noc, the only reason I play him is because he's BADASS

I used to build him 2 ways, just because I build him once with PD and movement felt so smooth...
ye, the other involved Boots of Mobility.
I am sticking to Scythe/Boots/Razor/Brutalizer/Phange/Bloodthrister/Edge/etc

Randuin's Omen is a pretty good defensive item on him. Pop both it and Yomus, sorry Yi can't hear you over the sound of you dying.
the best nocturne build is wrigless > serkers > warmog > impaler > frozen mallet > some life steal / damage item.
that gets you 5000+- hp and 300+- ad without the Q buff.

yes, it's atmog, I use it on nocturne because I used to build glass cannon with tons of atk speed and life steal
untill an atmog nocturne owned me as atk speed + life steal noct

he's a tanky dps who beats shit up, pd and iedge aren't how you're supposed to build him
also brutalizer is meh on him, just gonna slow you down
also for some reason it doesn't tell you to get smite for jungling, you NEED smite

I more or less(because Teemo kept disconnecting) solo'ed the bottom lane, an enemy Cho and Veigar kept feeding me, and I quickly fully stacked Feast. I was a WALL. They surrendered. Their Cho was terrible actually, he wanted revenge too much instead of hanging back to lv up.
I have actually been trying to rework my Noc build for some time. So:
Starting item: Boots + pots; Doran's Blade/Shield or Lifesteal scepter?
Boots: Merc's; Berserker's or (never tried it) Swiftness?
Finish Youmumu's first; get BF sword early or start building both banshees and an offensive item little by little?
