Afaik triforce, gunblade, are excellent items, merc treads or ninja tabi depending on masteries and enemy team comp.
I don't care whether i have to jungle or lane, i just want a good guide for him and masteries

sell wriggles for gunblade if you didn't get gunblade before. Otherwise sell wriggles for tanky stuff.

The build I was using felt pretty good to me. Start with a mana crystal, then upgrade to Sheen> Berserker Greaves> Malady. Eventually upgrade to a Trinity Force, and after that, I have no idea what to get because my games never lasted long enough. I almost always did well with him, though.

i think he really does need it for damage output of some sort, i would think nashor's tooth and wit's end would synergize well

Play the characters in the highest tier and you can carry yourself out of defeat streak until you get to the point where you can be carried rather than have to carry 24/7 because you get derps that don't get wards or whatnot.
Also don't duo que with retards that think mejies and archangels and full glasscannon xin is a good idea.
